Star Wars Galaxies did( to me the game is dead ) similar things, It just seemed Hallow and Sad.. cheap presents to keep you for a little while longer..

Don't think I could have said it better myself. Before I sold my account I kinda said the same thing to my guild. My line was " Coming soon to WoW: Just log into the game and there will be epics waiting for you in the mailbox".
I can kind of see that, what gets me is Ulduar is still the toughest Raid out there, but 10/25 Onyxia and TOC have far superior loot, but is so easy it's not funny. There is absolutely no incentive to run Ulduar any more, but to me it's a bigger challenge and that's what I like in a game. |

This as an old saying in my Guild.
Tanking is a Responsibility, Healing is a Job and DPS is a game.
Personally I like Tanking and Healing better than DPS, which is just a numbers game.
I don't Pug as a tank, the lowly masses of DPS are too dumb to let tanks get aggro and focus fire properly. Hell many times I see a frost bolt, chain Lighting..etc fly before I even charge in, I'll just let the Mage / shammy or what ever take it, let them die and ask them if they learned anything. Many DPS only care about the DPS meter and have no interest in doing thing right. I don't care if they have 8k DPS if they are dead.
I'll pug heals because I know I can heal through a scrub group and it's fairly easy.

| Seeing how I bought my Athlon 64 X2 system back in 2005 I'd say it's 4+ years old. I just recently bought a new system, that should last me for another 4 years which is usually the cycle life of my systems. |

To play Diablo II, I just fire up my old AMD K6-III 450mhz with a 3dfx Voodoo3 3500 in it, my token Windows 98 machine.

I have collected quite a pile of defective Nvidia cards recently, I'm usually called in to fix my friends computers. Some Just died, some have got fruity color lines problem. Although all these cards range from 2002 to present. I've always been an Nvidia fan because of their Linux support, this isn't a good trend though.

I've replaced a pile of Nvidia video cards over the last couple years between a half dozen computers I personally own and friends.
Most just seem to die all the sudden,some get the fruity color lines errors or one card had an odd issue It didn't have full colors and would run at 640x480 if I had the official Nvidia drivers installed, however if it was running the default windows driver without 3d Acceleration it would have all the colors and full range resolutions.
Used to be a big Nvidia fan, but the pile of cards I'm building up is just proof of issues.
Also $4000 dollars for a PC and it only comes with regular hard drives... I'd expect a 1Tb Solid State hard drive at least.

In response to the three posts that suggested the cost served the purpose of discouraging frequent use of that function, the FAQ states the following:
How often can I change a character's faction?
You may change a character's faction every 60 days.
Imho the price tag's only purpose is profit.
I'd love to work for Blizzard.. I bet they use shredded $100 dollar bills for toilet paper. |

$30 dollars is just a shade more than a Blue-ray movie. Cheaper than it is to fill my gas tank. About the price of a good meal, and a few beers. No issue with the price in my book. Worth the price to play a character with my RL friends.

I'm not much of a fan for any ubuntu "Debian" style distribution.. It's just little things that seem out of place with it.. but that's perhaps because I've been in the Redhat camp of distributions for the last 10 years, Slackware prior.

Verno how is blizzard desperate, they could publish no new content until the next expansion and still rake in billions.. Wouldn't that be more greedy or lazy?
How about this Verno, if your going to regurgitate some old arguments that many former WoW players make, Shit at least pretend you put some effort into it. |

From what I gathered previous generation SSDs where bad on reliability.
I currently have 3 OCZ vertex series (two 30gigs and a 120g ) that I've had for 4 months or so. so far no issues or any noticeable speed decreases..
I'll let you know in a year. |
