On BFG's site it says that their PhysX cards will be available tomorrow (the 9th). ASUS doesn't seem to be saying anything about it yet, unless I missed it.

Monolith learned a lot about creeping you out when they made FEAR, and it shows in Condemned. What's cool about Condemned is that it's not creepy in a supernatural way (no ghosts/poltergeists). It's a lot more believable, which I think gets under your skin even more than FEAR's supernatural creepiness.

If they had a level of control for their movie sets that even comes close to rivaling Garry's Mod, this game would truly be great both as a sim and as the machinima tool they advertise themselves as. Even if they just introduced the Havok engine to create their stunts, or lisenced Valve's lip-synching technology.

It's rare to see a battle that large, but you can achieve it. Go into a custom battle and fill up both armies with nothing but peasants and you'll have well over 10,000 units in the fight.

At the beginning of the game they mention how the player has unprecedented "reflexes". And why complain? You can't tell me it isn't cool seeing those grenades go off in slow-motion, seeing the shockwave and the parts flying off the enemies.

I work at Gamestop, and we've had a listing for Resident Evil 4 on the PC for about a week now. I was hoping to finally see somewhere else acknowledge the existance of this game, cuz I really want to see it on PC, and before this news post I couldn't find any evidence that the game would ever actually exist aside from that entry in the Gamestop computer (even the website doesn't have a listing, though the website is technically a different company).

The Total War series are by far my favorite strategy games of all time. I want more Total War games, but there's really no more eras to do aside from 18th century, which Imperial Glory already did (and did fairly well, though not Total War-quality). What I really want to see them do now is make a fantasy Total War. Basically, a Medieval: Total War but with fantasy races and magic. It would still have the same kinds of battle tactics to make it "realistic", but with extra stuff. Maybe you could train up extremely powerful mages who can bring down half an army by themselves, or raise giant creatures that do more damage than the war elephants of R:TW. I'd really like to see how a fantasy Total War game would turn out.

We won't see the Phys-X PPU used to its full potential until games start REQUIRING a PPU in order to run. It's the same way it was with video cards back in the day.

I don't care what people say, I think the PhysX PPU is gonna be freakin cool. I'm hopefully gonna buy one once Rise of Nations 2 comes out.

I tried the demo. Shooting a zombie point blank in the face with a shotgun wounded him, while shooting him point blank in the legs killed him. There was a cool part when I got the sniper rifle and the theatre recording says "We proudly present death of a salesman" and the curtains open up to reveal some zombies eating some guy. Unfortunately, that part was ruined by the inability to aim the sniper rifle after I picked it up. If I moved the reticle anywhere from the center of the screen, it just snapped back into place.
Why can't anyone make a proper Romero zombie game? It's not that hard, and it would make for some really fun gameplay!!!
