If you had told me 10 years ago that Mythic would be bought by EA (at that point, still a respectable outfit), turned into a heartless franchise milker and would start pulling crap like this, I would have laughed at you and gone back to playing Magestorm.

Seriously, though, while I can understand the comments I have to agree with the majority of posters in that Quake appealed to me because of its clarity of game rules. No crazy super dodging combos or wacky weapons, just good ol' deathmatch in straightforward, well-designed spaces.
Agreed completely. Quake is good solid fun and I'm looking forward to playing it again.

Other than GTA - I have been watching this game for YEARS! YEARS go by without an update - now they are doing Beta and because I think facebook is the stupidest fucking thing in the world i miss out? DAMNIT!

No kidding. The key word in this discussion is possibility. A premium version is mentioned as a possibility that may or may not happen depending on the success of an unreleased game. That means they have most likely not done any thinking or research about what they would offer in such a deal. If you seriously think a company like id would charge extra for nothing, you're clueless.

Also, When the hell is valve going to fix the broken OP class known as soldier, or fix the damage of demoman's det nade.
What's wrong with those? Soldiers aren't overpowered. If anything, scouts are. And should the sticky damage be increased or decreased?

ughh of all the great maps they could have included, they chose steel. I guess they want to cater to the 32-slot server crowd, since those are the only servers that steel plays well on.
I also want to know where Badlands disappeared to, as Valve was meant to be releasing it for TF2.
Badlands was added a few months ago... also thanks for reminding me of rock2. I miss that map, especially the mad rushes to save ourselves from the gas.

Are there any Korean MMOGs that aren't total grind fests? Or, for that matter, are there any that have characters that don't look like 2-year-olds?

Did I say the bugs were showstoppers? They were minor annoyances, which at worst caused me to retry a mission or two. The worst one I encountered was a freeze while loading a mission. There were also a few AI bugs.

If the game is coming out on the PC I am gonna buy it and pray to hell they don't leave the game with unfixed bugs like they did with San Andreas.
Considering all the bugs I encountered while playing the Xbox 360 version, I wouldn't hold your breath.
