Nothing wrong with that but it's a far cry from well....Far Cry Far Cry is a shitty game and the fact that you think that is an example to be looked up to says a lot about your tastes.
European Devs seem to ship their games in the most horribly buggy states I've ever seen. I've found a few Euro games I'm interested in but their version of Q/A is laughable Where do you think Crytek is from?

just like the Cliffy B story, this is more bullshit from people who haven't been relevant to PC gaming in a decade.
besides, as Creston said, there's been plenty of games on the PC lately. Not all of them are exclusives but as long as the ports are done well, who cares? I have to say 2008 has been the best year for PC gaming since 2001, in no small part due to independent developers.

I vote Blue never links to that retarded site again. Dumbasses. If Blue chose whether or not to link a site based on the site's quality, the daily updates would be at least 80% smaller. Either that or he would be forced to link to the original articles that these lame blogs just summarize (poorly).

Wake me up when this applies to an interesting game made by people who matter. You said it. The last game Epic made that was worth caring about was UT99. Granted, UT2k4 wasn't half bad but the plethora of gimmicky mutators and game modes fragmented the community so badly that it never developed a community.

They did up the video quality, you just have to click the "View in high quality" link. This only works on videos uploaded relatively recently, though.

"With 'Spore,' we were intentionally not targeting the core gamer," he says. "Almost all of our testing was with Sims players and casual or nongamers. … I'd much rather hit that broader group." Of course they'd rather go for non-gamers. They are far more easily impressed than anyone who has played a game in their life. EA/Maxis were able to significantly decrease the amount of effort put into designing an appealing game and put all those extra resources into the hype machine. GOLLY GEE WHIZ I can make my VERY OWN CREATUREZ

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Zero. I would even go so far to call you an idiot regarding this subject. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. I would even go so far as to call you an idiot regarding this subject. (Todo: Insert made-up anecdote here)

The number one industry priority right now seems to be to find ways to charge for things in new and creative ways. When will MBAs learn that "innovation" is not necessarily a good thing in the business world? Our current economic crisis is a perfect example of that.

Just because his legal credentials are gone doesn't mean he won't take his crusade to the protest scene. I would suspect he'll be even more rabid. That's precisely what Fred Phelps did after he was disbarred.

Couldn't he just go somewhere else and get a license? Wikipedia's article on disbarment says this:
"In the United States legal system, disbarment is specific to regions; one can be disbarred from some courts, while still being a member of the bar in another jurisdiction. However, under the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct, which have been adopted in most states, disbarment in one state or court is grounds for disbarment in a jurisdiction which has adopted the Model Rules."
I think since this is a relatively high profile disbarment, he'd have a very difficult time getting on the bar in any state.

xXBatmanXx has a good point. Any Blue's News reader knew before Spore was even released that it would be infested with DRM. Not only that, but if you waited a day or two after release you'd know it isn't worth your money even without the DRM because the game sucks. Hell, it's not even worth pirating.

Dagok, they are referring to the fantastic DOS installer that C&C and Red Alert had in the beginning. They were quite a loss for the series as the installers helped bring you into the world. It's a shame no one does game installations quite like that anymore. I haven't installed C&C or RA in probably 8 or 9 years, but I still remember the installers. I can't say that about any game released in the last decade.
