| Firefox 3 is such a pig, it makes me want to slash its throat and roast it with an apple in its mouth. Google Chrome is faster and more secure. The only thing Chrome lacks is a stable Linux version, but I only care about that when I'm on the road with my netbook (like right now). Even if 3.5 is faster I'm sticking with Chrome on my main machine. |

Go to the UK and its ~35% chronically depressed rate among its populace and tell us again how happy they are.
The UK may be physiographically located in Europe but sociologically the UK may as well be a different planet. It is the more like the United States than any other European country (even when you account for the common language).

| I think these people don't understand that the Bill of Rights doesn't cover corporate actions. They think Burger King can't just throw a clause in the contract giving BK the final say on what goes up on those signs. If the sign said something vulgar or racist it would be taken down right away, but BK don't want to be seen as "taking sides" (as if there are two legitimate sides to be taken). The global warming denier spin machine is weakened but it's still a powerful force. |

OOC, does anyone know why Germany is like this? They're like the opposite of the US: okay with sex, nudity, prostitution, but against violence.
The culture of the USA was strongly influenced by the Puritans, who were so crazy even the Dutch kicked them out. This is where American prudishness comes from. I don't have a full grasp of German history, but I'd suspect their aversion from violence comes from being the main aggressor in two world wars and losing both times. |

You don't know this. You are only speculating. And have since been proven wrong by Caveman.
Caveman didn't "prove me wrong". I'm not wrong until they actually do it, which I admit is likely. I shouldn't have used the word "fact", "indication" would have been a better word. But, my earlier point still stands. This game has been out for several months and there are still big problems with matchmaking. This announcement was poorly timed.
Then you didn't read clearly, and Caveman as already proved you wrong on this too.
Caveman didn't even address this point. Who isn't reading clearly now? I'd be impressed with your idiocy but you've already demonstrated it to me.

Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of people trashing the forum, or more specifically, the people on this forum lately. That's kind of weird. I mean, if you so clearly dislike the forum and the people here, why would you continue to participate in it?

Generally it's common courtesy to cite any articles or videos being discussed. I shouldn't have to wade through that piece of shit site just because this jackass was too lazy to Ctrl-C Ctrl-V. I'm on some forums where you can get banned for doing that sort of thing repeatedly.

Wrong, read the IGN article, all the improvements to matchmaking in L4D2 are going to Left 4 Dead 1. They might even port all the campaigns and characters over to L4D2 so it's basically an expansion.

....and the people who've never even played L4D come out in full force to hate on the sequel! Even though they never had any reason to care in the first place since they've never played the original! Awesome.
You're missing the point. Our problem isn't with the sequel necessarily, it's with the fact that they are tacitly abandoning the first game with all its problems (e.g. matchmaking). Also I haven't seen any negative posts here that indicate the poster has not at least played the L4D demo, if not the full game.

| The least they could have done was fix the matchmaking before announcing this. 7+ months on and it still tries to put you on full or broken servers, there's still no pre-made team matching, some lobbies and servers never fill, and you can't open friends games up to the public if someone has to leave. This is an amateur move from a company I least expected to pull such a move. |
