it doesnt seem like they included free look for the appstore version of marathon. i see no second analog stick or dpad on the interface. while doom at that time only goes forward and backwards and side to side, marathon was the first FPS to allow players to look up and down as well as side to side. jumping to cross gaps was even possible while running. although it was automatically done instead of being binded to a key.
if i remember the default control layout correctly, z and x were the strafe keys. space bar was the weapons fire. shift was for running. ctrl was moving backwards. mouse 1 moves forward. and mouse look was for aiming. |

I mean, how the fuck to just order and pay for 60,000 chips without some sort of vetting process? whats even worse is the fact that the programming language used by the military was used on those chips. it requires security clearance to learn and use. we gave them to the chinese manufacturers. |

| what scares me is the recommendation for detection of back doors instead of avoiding the use of foreign made chips on critical components. are we so deep in the hole of outsourcing that we cannot even make military grade computers? we have to hand over the blueprints for chip design to the chinese manufacturers in order for them to meet our needs. they in turn find ways to disarm it remotely. |

| another weird law still in effect at san francisco is the ban on sales of air guns. apparently in the old days when milk wagons were common kids would use air guns to play a prank on the driver by shooting the horses with pellets which would send the wagons careening down the streets of san francisco. |

He went on to add that the company has been gradually shifting from PC to cater for consoles as well, with games developed for Xbox 360 and the integration of Steamworks onto PS3. With Wii U, Nintendo will likely become part of this.

i must be blind because i cant see any difference between the two sets of screenshots. maybe dx11 will make it run better with more FPS?
they still have not put back the option to disable bloom and other crapy HDR lighting effects. the crysis2 advanced graphic option freeware that creates custom config files stopped working after the latest update. anyone else get their autorun.cfg working? i hate watching the videos when launching the game. |

Most big developers won't do anything unless a publisher is funding it. i doubt they did it for free. nvidia was using the DX11 version as demo at computex taipei. |

Lorcin wrote on Jun 22, 2011, 00:35: Or to be a bit more forgiving. Even though our publisher insisted on a publication date and made consoles our primary priority we've still kept working on the PC version for 3 months even though we've not earned a penny for doing so.
There really are some ungrateful arseholes on this board. yeah ungrateful because 3 months resulted with nobody noticing that there is no START button on a PC keyboard. certain control options magically disappear when not playing the campaign mode. online key codes not accepted by master server. limited edition content redemption has to be done through a web browser. its no wonder you were not paid a penny to do a PC port. |

| i hope it does go to trial so that former IW employees who never got paid bonuses and profit sharing for work done on the COD series will get their fair share of the pie. if i remember correctly some of them left the company without claiming the bonuses and profit sharing offered by activision because they felt the sales figures for modern warfare were manipulated in order to make it look smaller than the actual amount. |

Make it REALLY expensive for companies to move their factories over seas and then ship their products back into the USA If we did that 25 years ago we'd be in fine shape. agreed. companies who use loopholes have been lobying the obama administration to allow them to bring home the profits made by their overseas operations without having to pay penalty in taxes. but creative accounting practices are slowly taking away the bite of taxes. the incentives placed to keep jobs in america is not enough. there should be extra tariff on products made by american firms who use overseas factories. designed in america while made in china should be discouraged. |
