Pigeon wrote on Nov 15, 2011, 15:58: Given that, I'm more likely to side with the players, but its still pretty hard to sympathize with either side. The lowest paid player makes ~450k, and the owner with the least net worth is still worth ~$80million. How about cheaper tickets and merchandise for the fans who on average only make ~$49k a year agree. its hard to side with the owners when they get huge tax incentives from local and state govt. the fans always get the short end of the stick with expensive ticket prices and rip off concession stand food. |

| they should just merge the series with ARMA. give air assets to DCS and ground forces to ARMA. also amazing how much detail these guys know about US equipment and tactics when for one thing the programmers are russians and their technical advisors from the fighter collection are mostly brits with the exception of one retired USAF who helped make the falcon 4 game manual accurate. |

same here. i have never seen punkbuster detect and kick off an obvious cheat playing on a ranked server on ANY online game that uses it. all i see are people getting booted because they dont have the latest punkbuster files. the auto download feature of punkbuster never worked for me either. i always have to manually download and install the latest version. |

SOPA, ACTA, CDA, etc. too many laws made for the sake of copyright but each one has the potential to trample free speech. order the blacklisting on search engines of websites based on potentially offensive (aka porn) but still legal content. govt carving out territories by preventing its citizens from accessing websites based on the type of domain name used regardless of content. this is coming from the US congress and not the ayatolla of iran. |

| zynga management should have realized it in the beginning and given out stocks proportional to the employee contribution to the company. i agree that the company should be dragged to court and forced to honor their original offer. the google chef is a new term on an old phenomenon for successful companies. when home depot went public they created a lot of millionares. among them were secretaries/front lobby receptionists and one very lucky caricature artist who designed homer. |

That's basically what they did, except you retain your BS 1.02 game which can still play with Flaming Cliffs 2 players if you wanted to. Otherwise you'd have lost that ability. so it is a patch. |

So off to the store for a new CPU...$142 later...man that was an expensive cleaning. On the upside though my new CPU is twice as fast as the old one. Went from triple core 2.1 to quad core 3.8. at first i was a bit confused about the location of the pins then i realized you must be using an AMD cpu. amirite? Other clue would be he went from a tri-core processor to a quad. Intel doesn't offer a tri-core processor. thats true. i was wondering about that too. |

bigspender wrote on Nov 6, 2011, 02:48: i thought that when you uninstall the game it gives you your activation back? how many times do people want to install their games anyway? its not like you have to reinstall everytime you start it up. not on starforce. you dont get it back even when you uninstall it properly. and losing an activation is easy. you dont need to reinstall it. simply trying to install it the first time and having your computer crash will cause you to give up one. there have been posts on their forum where someone with graphic driver problems lost all available activation because the game wouldnt launch properly. but that was with the first DCS. |
