That's basically what they did, except you retain your BS 1.02 game which can still play with Flaming Cliffs 2 players if you wanted to. Otherwise you'd have lost that ability.

at first i was a bit confused about the location of the pins then i realized you must be using an AMD cpu. amirite?

Other clue would be he went from a tri-core processor to a quad. Intel doesn't offer a tri-core processor.
