I've been gaming on Vista 64 for a few months now, and it's great. No complaints and XP feels old to me now.

Is the full RoTT saga? If I recall, there was an add-on?

I appreciate Valve's dedication to this game, but I can't help feeling that the game was better when everyone was on a level playing field to start with. Achievements are okay but when they cause people to play the game in a non-beneficial way, then what good are they?

I beta tested this game. It's a lot of fun. It's kind of hard to put my finger on why I like it, but I found myself continuing to play longer than I intended.

Yes, the medic can fight in TF2, and he can make people invulnerable so you really want to kill him.

It's well worth it, if you are on the fence, do it. I didn't regret it at the $40 I paid.

Also, why is it so damn expensive still?

Because Sony is completely full of themselves.

There is literally a handful of PS3 exclusives that look worth playing. The 360 is the machine to get.

John, if you only buy games that you can resell, or will somehow otherwise make you money, NO, you should not buy this game.

If you want to have FUN, then yes you should buy this game.

Apparently Survival is an Invasion / Horde type mode where you survive wave after wave? Have they made an official announcement on that?

I'm hoping it includes barricades like the CoD mode.

Does this use the Painkiller engine? Or is it just that some of the devs worked on Painkiller?

With a cool-down, you wouldn't be able to bomb away. All you are really skipping is having to come down near the runway. Granted, that was a risky maneuver.

I was never a pilot back when I played. My thing was sniping.

12. Re: Battlefield 1943 Q&As Feb 10, 2009, 07:56 Veinman

I wish someone would tell companies that EVERY game doesn't need regenerating health. It works sometimes, but it just doesn't belong here.

The ammo issue... that's really not a big deal. Running out of ammo in BF1942 wasn't really all that common.

I would have gladly signed on if they were releasing BF1942 intact, but looking like the new game.

Hopefully they at least add modes where you can crank up the challenge. I get the feeling this game was designed by a marketing team.

Obviously they want to film you playing, not to mention control the testing environment.

I'd love to get my hands on Borderlands. I hope that one makes it out this year.

bigspender- the new Delta Force: Angel Falls game coming out supports 200 players, and has co-op, although I doubt for 200 players.

Novalogic always had superior netcode anyway, imo.

13. Re: Left 4 Dead DLC & SDK Plans Feb 5, 2009, 15:05 Veinman

What an underwhelming announcement. The two existing campaigns will finally be updated to VS, some game mode with no info on it, and the SDK. And then to say 'this spring', which for Valve could mean Fall 2010.

The SDK is the only promising part of that.

What's the hangar window exploit? I haven't played it in years, I even sold my copies unfortunately.

I remember when you used to be able to heal your tank in the enemy hangar. I confess I used this to grief endlessly. I could single-handedly shut down the other team's entire air support depending on the map. I never felt it was cheating, and had always assumed it was there by design.
