| Surely there are better engine to work on anyway. Doom 3's engine was impressive back then, but these days? And from what I recall, the shadows were all pitch black anyway. Maybe it was just my card. |

| I recently saw King of Kong. It was very interesting, although now that I've read that article that's linked about the inaccuracies, it's not quite so dramatic. |

| It is pretty playable on the 360, although I stick to the shotgun since I can't hit anything with the more precise weapons and the controller. Of course it pales to the PC version, but if that's what you have, that's what you have. |

everyone - if you get it on sale, I think you'll be happy with it. The content that is there wears thin after a while. I expect the SDK to improve things quite a bit. Survival mode sounds fun too.
Don't compare it to mods, it's way beyond that. |

| So if you buy Defense Grid from direct2drive (which I've never used) I could register / download the game on Steam and never go back to d2d? |

Oh well I probably didn't miss much anyway
I managed to download and purchase UT3 this weekend. I like it a lot. Agreed on the wasted effort though- they should do it again when they are prepared to handle the load. |

I'd like to read a side by side comparison of both games' features. From what I've seen so far, it looks like OpFor2 has better graphics, and that ArmaII is going for a more hardcore type of game.
I'll definitely hold off a bit to see which game ends up with either less bugs or better dev support. |

Agreed, Tumbler. Take Lost and Damned for example. I'd love to play some more GTA, but I dropped $60 on the main game, and I'm just not going to spend $20 more for that add-on.
I spent a grand total of $52 on steam and got Left 4 Dead and Unreal Tournament 3. Consoles can't touch that kind of value. |
