Very fondly, yes. I loved the cinematics at the point where Boston and team venture into the asteroid, finding it to be a spacecraft/transport vehicle of sorts, whisking them away to another galaxy....

Still have the CD in one of my binders, but can't play (m)any DOS game(s) on my AthlonXP64 WinXP-32 rig.

Might as well give that one a shot, though I won't hold my breath.

Dosbox is your friend =)

This could have been prevented easily enough if you had just taken the time to pick your shit off the floor and not left it there for him to get at!

My poodles a smart little bastard and such a statement would never apply to him.

He takes the liberty to re-arrange the table chairs so that he can use them as steps to climb up to higher areas, namely the kitchen counter, and begin eating everything in sight.

Damn poodles, too smart for their own good...or for our good I suppose.

2.01 fixes the exploit to downgrade 2.0, and thats all it does...gotta be pretty gullible to download and install that on your PSP.

Security update...lol

graphics come second, and gameplay comes first, with AI a close second.

It all makes perfect sense now.

I sure am glad I bought one of those radeon coupons off ebay for $20 bucks...and to think my friends said I was gonna get scammed, $10 upgrade, HL2:silver for $30 before it was even released...pretty nice deal for an ebay coupon =)

And DoD:S isnt that great, its an updated mod, nothing more nothing less...plus theres lotsa bitching in game about the fact that Valve charged for it.

Ill help you elaborate on that a bit

Friends, family, ME, my aspirations, my goals and dreams...life, and the pursuit of living it.

This comming from someone who was forced to take catholic schooling on the weekends to compliment my public schooling during the week. I've been exposed to the religious side of life, and I choose not to walk that path.

That "under god" part was added in 1954 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower...

In his words, "In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America's heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country's most powerful resource in peace and war"

I just found it interesting that it wasnt part of the original pledge.

EDIT: Well isnt that an interesting coincidence...

Understandable, a message to developers in light of "Hot Coffee", but this thing about third-party mods is ridiculous.

It stands to reason that if you downloaded a mod you understand its not part of the original game and as such does not reflect the ratings of said game.

The same can be said of any product, modification outside the original intents and purpose of the product can not be held against the developers of it, how anyone could even begin to think that it does baffles me.

I had problems with the AI in the campaign. I controlled 3/4 of the map, yet they had the resources to rebuild their army 3 times complete with artillery. I couldn't do anything against them because artillery completely annihilates troops. It's a one-shot kill.

There's an artillery unit that has the advantage: Good against other artillery.

Some troops I would imagine as well but cannot say.

Problem is artillery is veeery expensive

The AI is easy, they send small waves of troops and all you really need is one fort plus a small group and they will NEVER break through...its all too easy if you ask me.

Plus they continue to attack in the same manner every time, and they seem to have an obsession with archers. I know this wont be true in the single player campaign, what with scripted attacks and such, but the AI in skirmish could use a little work.

The graphics are set to high-low mix, so if you think it doesnt look good, make sure you change the options. I really like the whole trading post thing, setting up a trade post on the native american camps and then training their troops is a neat addition that I see going much further if they choose to expand it.

Once you get the hang of the cards its really neat, and with the ability to customize your deck it adds a new level of strategy to the game.

All in all I had fun destroying the AI in a few skirmish games, it gets a little to easy once you get the hang of it but the game itself is very fun to play, but doesnt change much in terms of RTS innovations.

"It's pretty damn rare for a direct link that allows for multiple connections and maxes out my connection. I'm also pleased by how little hype there has been... props to Microsoft/Ensemble."

Yes well this is Microsoft we are talking about here...and pretty much their premiere game to boot. Anyone able to offer some gameplay info, not install/interface issues?

By that logic, does this make Nintendo the only sane company left?

so in turn, all other companies are now officially insane.

EDIT: Wow some quick posts, this was to #8

Every game is different, for instance Kirby uses ONLY the touch screen the entire game, and it works marvelously, if you dont believe me go look up the games reviews, who needs buttons when you can control everything by touching.

Other games will use just the normal controls, like Advance Wars, but when you want to create your own custom maps guess what comes in handy?

And yes some will use a mix, but it falls on the developers shoulders to create a game that properly mixes touchscreen and standard controls to make the experience streamlined and innovative at the same time. Its already been demonstrated through the games that are out now, and continue to be released, that an arguement like yours is moot. If you were to make such an arguement back in december when the DS's lineup consisted of Mario and not much else, it would hold some merit, but in light of recent releases on the DS we know that its simply not an issue.

Of course, if you havnt been playing DS games, I guess you wouldnt know this =)

Try it before you judge it.

Killer app to you I doubt, I myself dont plan on rushing out to purchase it, but the game will sell well, and will give Nintendo an edge in a market they already dominate.

And its not just a life simulator thats going to propell the DS much further then the PSP in sales in the upcomming months. As I mentioned theres plenty of great looking games comming for the DS.

And those killer apps are almost here for the DS (Advance wars and nintendogs just came out, Lunar and castlevania right around the corner), where as the PSP still has no great potentials for quite a while.

Sony needs games, and truth be told I havnt seen a single upcomming game that entices me.
