| Not so sure about this team based on their previous games (Frontline Tactics looked horrible) and what they are currently working on (Space Hulk?) - but their goal for JA:F is spot on so hopefully they pull this off. |

I don't care if they stop developing games for the PC, they did have some good releases before Xbox came out but Windows gaming can survive easily enough without their contributions.
I just wish they would stop creating half-assed implementations like "Games for Windows Live" so developers can actually implement their own systems instead of tacking that bloatware trash on top and calling their multiplayer component complete. It's already ruined GTA4 and Dark Souls multiplayer, they need to stop spreading their gaming diseases to other titles. |

You are forgetting that those "horrible" graphics are directly brought from the consoles and that the only true platform that shows the work these graphics artists put into their world is the PC with dsfix installed.
The amount of detail they put into the world that is lost in the muddy graphics of PS3/Xbox360 is actually very sad - I could never play another Souls game on consoles after seeing the transition that dsfix brought to the game.
I want to make sure we are all on the same page here, if you have not installed dsfix and are commenting on the games graphics - please stop and click here for simple comparison shots. |

| JA2 with 1.13 mod is an amazing game with an impressive arsenal of weaponry. If you think all JA games were bad you clearly never played the series. Regardless of gameplay preferences, it is clear the game was phenomenal whether you enjoyed it or not. |

You think they "fixed" Simcity? |

| They are still "Looking into it"? I'm kinda surprised it's not already deep in development - seems the natural next step besides making a full blown sequel. |

Now everyones forking over $40 for an ALPHA GAME? It's $33. It's a pre-order for ARMA III and the price goes up on release. I wish more companies did stuff like that. |

| Simcity 4 had simulation problems as well. Hence the Rush Hour expansion to address this. These I understand and expect to be addressed in patches and expansions. I just hope this whole fiasco convinces EA to treat this game as more then a money pot. Please Maxis, fix your game. |

There is only one way they can guarantee a purchase from me and many others at this point:
True offline mode Larger regions Changes to game play to fully accommodate the single player mode
At this point, simply allowing offline play and local city saves will not fix this game - the game play punishes you for playing alone and needs serious redesign to be complete. For instance, time frozen regions.
If they can accomplish that and of course make it a free patch, I will buy it. |

They designed the game around smaller cities. To increase it at this point throws their nice little "city in a box" design out the window. Now they are stuck in a position where they need to ensure fans they care so they claim its purely a hardware restriction that prevents them from adding this feature. It gives the fans the illusion that this will be patched quickly after release so they should rush out and buy it. |
