Technically there are two versions of CS:S, the one where they ported CS to use source from the HL2 alpha (been out for a long while) AND the official beta copy of CS:S. I don't really know if the second one has been leaked yet, but it will be just like every other popular beta.

The alpha should not be used as a comparison on how well it will run on your system, many shaders were probably not implemented. The alpha is years old and this is now a completely different beast.

The existing Freespace 2 mods are better than anything Smart could ever put out, don't waste your time Derek.
Its a real shame that no one else showed an interest in the license as just about anyone could outbid Derek Smart. Just goes to show how dead the space sim genre really is.

Saddened is a nice change of pace, everyone else seems to be furious when this game is mentioned.
They really should ease up the PR for a game that doesn't have a scrape of code to its name yet though.

Yes Vipermmx is purposely lying to us about copy protection. Really you don't need to be so dramatic there Hood, can't we just say he is possibly mistaken?
Anyway the store shelf game is cracked so it is really a moot point whether this version can be also.
Now can we get some more feedback if this is worth downloading? I'm a bit wary of Valusoft.
