The demo just seemed like a glimpse of the game, its not like we were able to try a sandbox mode. I'll have to wait for reviews before passing judgement, because if that demo really does reflect how deep the game is it will be worse than Gangsters.

The really bizzare thing is that they sent out the review copies, and then delayed it again. Computer Gaming World and GamePro both have reviews out this month and PC gamer had one earlier.

I really can't trust steam's performance until the next bandwidth strain, I mean is it going to crash and burn when everyone downloads their first HL2 update? I don't have much faith for any amount of servers to hold up to that.

Well Zephalephelah you clearly are not making sense, you list a bunch of speculation and then claimed them as facts. Well way to go, now I only have to debunk a couple things since you destroyed your own argument YOU HAVE NO FACTS, AND THAT WAS MY POINT.
It was never about the likilyhood of Valve charging (which I doubt would be a full retail charge right off the bat, that doesn't make business sense) your said price, you pulled this argument out of your ass. Its about you being a fucking drama queen about a subject that doesn't belong here.
I love how fanboism is common sense, Valve had been working on VAC and was not going to start paying royalties to a third party cheat programs, this is once again COMMON SENSE THEY WERE MAKING THEIR OWN ANTI-CHEATING TECHNOLOGY.
If you would care to look at my past posts I flame Valve considerabley, but you unfounded claims and speculation on the "big mean evil Valve who only lives to screw consumers" does not belong in a damn thread about COD.
It amazes me that your head doesn't implode, from reading your past posts which clearly show yourself as a enormous pessimist, you need to take a deep breath and realize Valve is just a developer making a game, nothing more nothing less. They are not the goddamn gestapo.
Please keep your boogeyman theories where they belong in the future.

I'm just sick of the "poor dev" treatment, I really don't care what the mitigating circumstances are if the game turns out to be crap that is the only thing that matters to me. I really do not understand the assumption that every small developer is just a enormous talent waiting to burst forth once it gets the chance.
As for Breed specifically, the multiplayer is really the only thing that is going to matter in the end, it better be good.

You've never dealt with Telstra (giant Australian conglomerate) then, the Aussies really got the shaft when it comes to broadband.
Hope you sort it out someday, the rest of the world has never heard of a download cap.
