Oblivion still looks pretty nice to this day with a bit of tinkering. Morrowind and Oblivion look completely different despite being on the "same" engine, and there's no reason to think there won't be a similar (or greater) jump in the tech this time around. |

Also, woah, that lady is very pleased with herself. Me me me me me! Almost making the press conference unwatchable. |

That room key "puzzle" was idiotic; not surprised they changed it. I whipped out a pen and paper in the hope that it would be a symbolic representation of some non-decimal numeral system and I could actually have fun trying to solve it, when in reality it turned out to be something from a children's book. I guess I'm too used to playing all those crazy room escape games so I overthink this stuff.
I really enjoyed the game, though, but more for the ambience than the puzzles. Second best purchase of the Steam thanksgiving sale I do hope they make more.
(The best one was Mount&Blade: Warband) |

I've gone AV-free apart from periodic scans for the last 15 years and have never had a virus. I'm sure a part of that is just luck, since as V for Verno said not everything is necessarily avoidable even if you're careful, but for a moderately tech-savvy user always-on AV seems pretty unnecessary in my experience.
I did recently install Panda Cloud AV though since it's so unobtrusive that you'll never know it's there. |

| I kill deathclaws in 2-3 punches and only take any damage if I get multiple ones at the same time. Unarmed is a bit unbalanced, though (but hilariously fun once you find Pushy). |

Slashman wrote on Oct 17, 2010, 01:06: Can you even get Thief 2 to run on modern PCs without jumping through hoops? Tafferpatcher will install the game and all the fixes you could ever want. Works great on Win7 x64 for me.
As for fan missions, there's a nice thread here. |

I never finished PST as much as I loved it. I got OCD with the Ravel conversation and just had to minmax it, but never managed to get it right, so I stopped playing. Really should play through the whole thing one of these days. |

I've been thinking about doing that as well as an appetizer for New Vegas; never really tried any of the mods except one purely visual one.
Currently Minecraft eats up just about all my free time, though (and some of my non-free time). |

| I really wish they didn't. The absolutely only thing they're interested in as far as the PC is concerned is the dream to turn it into a closed system akin to consoles. Everything else is just stepping stones to that purpose. Thankfully thus far they've been hopelessly incompetent about it and just waffled about, but who knows what kind of damage they could do if they really put their minds and bribe money into it. |
