Maybe steam should get involved in this. I dont know about Charter but AT&T's caps are no worse than Comcasts (250GB). |

God I remember that. What was it? Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory? Took a year and change to crack it because it used a brand new version. |

The point is that software copy protection is all about protecting sales of newly released software because that is when unit sales are greatest. Fixed. |

Another reason this crap sucked. I know some friends that got the PC version and could not play it for 3 more hours because they were ET and it wouldn't unlock till midnight PT. Yet their console friends were playing it as soon as they got home. |

Ashley wrote on Mar 20, 2011, 23:15: DRM is fine with me as long as...
1. It does not run when I am not playing the game.
2. It does not collect demographic info about me (even if they swear it's anonymous)
3. It does not look at anything else on my PC besides the game that it is for and only then to verify that it is a legitimately purchased copy.
I have never found DRM from a major publisher that comes close to meeting those criteria. And how can you be sure the DRM does these things? Trust the people that put the DRM there and are calling you a theif? |

Their servers fucked up last week and people could not play for 2 days. Brotherhood DRM scheme was exported to AC2 also. Now AC2 needs online One time activation for offline play. Please correct me if im wrong You are. AC2 still requires you to login every time you launch the game.
You just do not need to be online after that. |

Apparently its being released today in other countries. 5 days before the US.
EDIT: EU March 18, 2011 NA March 22, 2011
Well shit... the fools across the pond got something before we did.
At least I got it on Steam... people reporting that they oversold the special editions and people with preorders from LAST YEAR are getting canceled.

That might have been my link, I think. Reading there and IO9 is downright painful these days. It's like they designed it for an ipad, and fuck everyone else. Um no. The new site design actually works **WORSE** on iOS devices. You can not scroll the right part where the list of topics is on a touch screen. Hell you can not scroll it if you have a mouse that has no wheel. |

"Of course the people who make the game vote for their own game. That's how it works in the Oscars, that's how it works in the Grammy's and why I'm betting that Barack Obama voted for himself in the last election." Thats a quote from EA on this topic. It just goes to prove they have no clue as to whats going on because that analogy just makes no sense. |

The Half Elf wrote on Mar 14, 2011, 00:27: Also how exactly is this a sequel to Dragon Age Origins? Game starts off in roughly the time frame Origins does, and why is Flemmeth this Leather chick with JRPG hair, and then when you meet her in Origins she's this little crazy homeless looking women. And I won't bring up Sten's people. I was the same way too. WTF? Flemmeth? And that was only in the demo. The simplified darkspawn as well. |
