Hay.. HAY! All of you so called PC game developers... do it like this!

Will buy Witcher 2 a second time (like I did with Witcher 1) when this comes out so I have it on Steam as well.

Their report is already lost on me because they seam to have considered Crysis 2's graphics on par with Crysis.

and answer the burning question of Can an Intel dual core laptop with AMD discrete GPU run BF3?
No the more buring question is can a i7 laptop with nVidia discrete GPU run BF3.

I love how PC gaming has gone from things people expect to "ZOMG! LOOK WHAT WE ADDED FOR YOU!".

Pathetic.

Is the delay worth the wait?
No. It never is when this should have been factored into the development time so it comes out at the same time as the console version. Heaven forbid the console version comes out later. Or better yet learn how to fucking time manage so they, as i said above, come out at the same time!

Counter Strike was so wonderful way back in the beta days before the netcode was in place. Back then, it was all about LPBs. If you had nice rig and a good connection, you could just dominate. Plus, there were so many fantastic maps back then too that I miss.
I remember those days playing Q2. I had a Cable Modem back in 1997-98. Nothing like having a sub 100 ping when average was 150-250.

"If you do have a super powerful high-end PC, you are going to see higher detail textures"

Am I the only one who has "higher detail textures" near the bottom of their "Console Port Bitch List"? I don't understand why PC gamers give that such a priority, or why developers throw it out there as if it was. My list is almost entirely gameplay and interface issues.
I will second this. If the game is imposable to play because of horrible UI and control whats the point of high rez textures?

I don't know, I think when the PC gaming industry still refuses refunds that everyone has a valid right to bitch about technical problems even if there is a workaround. I remember being furious when I couldn't use my bought and paid for DLC for FO3. Sure there were workarounds eventually but I was literally forced to pirate something I had already paid for instead. There's nothing redeeming about the GFWL interface, it doesn't bring anything to the product. I agree that it shouldn't overshadow what a kickass game Arkham City will likely be however.

I hope that the game is as well done a port as the first game and that GFWL just leaves me the fuck alone
GFWL and FO3 is the poster child of how much GFWL sucks a pile of shit.

Oh whats that? You installed your game to a drive other than C:? Oh well, your DLC won't work then!

I have never had trouble with GFWL either, certainly nothing to compare with the trouble I've had with Steam.

But if you don't want to worry about it updating, you could just block Arkham Asylum and GFWL in your firewall, then create an offline profile. That only takes a couple minutes, so I'm not sure why you'd bother downloading a crack.

It does irritate me that Warner Bros. choose to include GFWL, simply because it does almost nothing. The only online feature of the first game was the time trial leaderboards. And I think it's safe to say that no one in the world cared about that.
You do understand that just firewalling it does not fix the issues right? People have had issues with it just existing. I was one of them till some patches fixed my problems. But others still had tons of issues.

I don't quite understand all the hate directed towards GFWL. I've never had to pay to use it. It's never stopped me from playing a game because of techincal issues. No one forces me to shop on the GFWL client. And it stays out of the way while playing the GFWL games, just like Steam does. I suppose its still fashionable within some niche to "hate" anything remotely associated with Microsoft, as a means to show nerd cred.

So why are you waiting till now to "sort that out" causing a month delay?

Oh right. The Game Director is a console player. That's why. Prolly told the PC people to shut the fuck up or get the fuck out till the console version was 100%.

I wouldn't mind a Witcher game with Trish as the lead. I think there is enough Geralt story in her to pull it off.

Welcome to the reason I do not zero day/preorder PC games anymore.

I have been burned way to many times on shit games, buggy games, games that flat out don't work to dive in head first like I used to.

Perfect example is Dead Island. So glad I did not preorder that game. Don't think I ever will. Unless it hits some $10 Steam sale.

Anything put in a language outside the region it was made in is a gift.

I am glad the Witcher games and books were translated to English. But if they weren't I sure as hell am not going to piss and moan about it. And I am sure not going to bitch the developer out for not doing it if they don't.

If the fan base wants to do it fine. Valve is under no obligation to pay them. Nor are they under any obligation to translate their games into any other language other than English. Let me rephrase that. Valve is only obligated to translate their games into languages of markets they officially release their games in.

I can not stand it when bloggers like zanfr.fr whip up these stories for no other reason than page hits. I guess they are are taking a page from Fox News.

Its a cycle. The consoles at this stage are ancient and in some cases hurt PC games by having the consoles stick to DX9 which makes prolonged dev periods when PC's can do DX11. So they have to work on both. This really lengthens the dev period of the game, somewhat making the game twice but obviously not as bad.
Your statement would imply they actually put forth the effort. Which obviously they don't.

So why do PC versions come out months after their console counterparts again?
