ME2 had a plot? I could have sworn I was just playing therapist to a bunch of whiny emo companions then fighting a giant terminator for no real good reason.
I would have to agree with this. While I did have fun sitting back and watching the ending credits had me thinking 'wow I really don't know a damned bit more about the entire ME plot'.

Assassin's Creed Revelations had me feeling the same way when I finished that as well.

Look what Epic did with the Unreal engine. Unreal Tournament 3 is pretty fun, while serving as a showcase for the engine what with its myriad of locations, models, and effects. Subsequently, not only did Epic sell a million copies of UT 3, they have also done dozens of license deals with the engine.
True but they also drove away their entire PC player base at the same time. Sealing their position of making games for the dudebro's of the world. Epic has little chance to regain what they once had, god tier status among PC gamers.

Eh, most Ubi ports are pretty decent and I don't think Brotherhood/Revelations included UbiDRM beyond a one time hash so don't get all down in the dumps. Whether the game itself is any good is a different story
Brotherhood required the internet EVER TIME you launched the game but it did not have to be always on. Meaning after launching if your connection took a shit the game would not boot you. IMHO this is no better than always on.

Revelations on the other hand only had a one time activation. After that you could launch and play with or without internet.

AC2 is like Brotherhood now IIRC. Still needs (another not sure, haven't touched in a while) internet at EVERY launch but no longer screws you if the net drops ingame like it did at launch.

Very disappointed no one pointed out that I wrote GWAR instead of GRAW.
That is a problem. As GWAR is actually good.

id had been going downhill since DOOM 3. That game was proof id is not listening to what players want.

Ever since Quake 3 I said id should just make engines and sell them but again with how pathetic DOOM 3 was (yes I did think the DOOM 3 engine was rather shitty) this did not seam to be an option either.

Once id was bought out that put the last nail in the coffin. Leaving Valve to be the only great developer left that has not been gobbled up by someone. Oddly Valve getting their fame off a game made with a engine made by id.

This is basically non-news as id has not been a player in the war of big gaming companies in over 8 years.

Woo!

-- UbiDRM
-- Most likely a piss poor port of another destroyed franchise
-- Delayed PC release

At this point I could really care less if it comes out on PC or not.

So its $149.99 for 360 but $249.99 for PC.

I doubt the "PC version" will work with the 360.

SXO is telling the future of this product.

Looks interesting, but the lack of control customization means it's going on my wait list. I can't stand WASD, I've tried it, it's clumsy and I don't like it.

I don't understand WSAD. It is cramped. We aren't 6, we need more room.

Yeah I always felt that MMO numbers didn't mean shit till the third month or so. Especially if you get a "free month" with buying the game.

So they charged people 50 dollars for this piece of shit service. But are still going to give Xbox the Map Packs before PS3 or PC? I'd be pissed I think.

But they didn't charge PC people.
I heard Elite did not even come out for PC.

Reminds me of having to login to WoW right after work so it would be ready by the time I could play.
Yeah I knew some WoW heads at work that set up remote desktop just to log their character in a hour or so before they left work so it was all set to go when they got home. Otherwise at prime time (~5:00PM ET) it would take them a hour or more to get in.
