You mean you can actually PLAY the game with the minimum requirements??!!? That must be a first in the history of PC gaming.
I was disappointed with that article, however, since it did not mention performance on a Pentium 166 w/ 32mb ram. I am hoping my Voodoo 1 can get away with 320x240 resolution in EGA, but I guess I'll just have to wait until it comes out.

i have windows 3.1 and DOS with a Pentium 100mhz processor and 16mb ram will my computer run doom three????// i also have 500mb hard drive, should i upgrade?

This is Halo?...... this sucks. The graphics really arent that great anyway, and they are the only thing this game has going for it. Why does the dude you play as walk so slow? And why do they vehicles control like Hot Wheels? The sound sucks, theres no music etc... I could go on and on. I bet alot of people that bought an Xbox feel pretty stupid.
Anyway, back to Metroid Prime ( a game that is 1000x better than Halo)

Every game should be capped at 60fps. Anything higher than that starts to look stupid because its way *too* smooth. Half-Life is capped at 60fps also, btw.
Actually, I would like to cap all my games at 15fps. Yes, you heard me right, 15fps. No, I am not being sarcastic. I think its because my mind gets the impression that the game's graphics must be uber awesome if my computer can only run it at 15fps; thus I think the graphics are better than they really are.

It's lame because they shouldn't have caved under the pressure. It just encourages people to bitch about the next website-exclusive demo they want to play. "Oh my God, I can't play the Deer Hunter demo for 5 more days!". Tough shit, buddy. We're not talking about Mother Teresa-type patience here.
And it's not like they HAVE to give you a demo, either. They are doing you a favor, which makes it twice as stupid when people whine about it. Games like Morrowind never had a demo and it did just fine (there's already 2 expansions), so it's hard to say for sure that a demo is going to make them more money (alot of demos do the opposite).

Why the hell not? 24fps is perfectly fine. The world you live in is 3-dimensional and your eyes see it at around that "frame rate", but you seem to be interacting with it just fine.

Anime IS kinda stupid. It seems like they spent so much time drawing really detailed and kick-ass pictures that they didn't have any time left to animate it well (especially the mouths)

If playing computer games is a sport, then things like playing guitar, piano, and chess are sports too. You can become really good at all of them but that doesn't make you an athelete.
