No crashing waves?! You must be mistaken. Perhaps one of your graphics settings got changed?

Can anyone else confirm this?

This is interesting, I remember reading an interview saying how hard it would be for anyone to create levels for this game and they were not going to release any tools etc, glad they changed their minds.

you must be thinking of something else, doom3 was always planed to be fully modable.

i'd bet it is grey matter on rtcw2. they were working on their own q3 engine game which got canned by activision and then said they are working on something else which they can't talk about yet, but it goes to figure that it would be rtcw2. it wouldn't shock me if splash dammage is geting in on the project as well.

i'd bet money it is tool, i'm a big fan and i am pretty sure i know them when i hear them.

and Ihya, most of tool's fans are well above the teenage years and not goth by any means. trust me, i have been to quite a few of their concerts.

the player limit to cater to the graphics of the game, not the netcode. i'd wadger that the game ships with a client/server protocal option for mod makers.

but wait, the study didn't say anything against reading, so why would that be any worse than rideing a bike?

seriously, my point is that singling out videogaming is just absurd, as it is no more a cause for obesity than any other inactive lifestyle.

They simply said that "the use of electronic games should be limited to prevent childhood obesity." Presumably, they mean that parents should limit their kids' game time. Why is that crazy talk?

ok, so i should say something like "damnit son, quit playing that videogame now and read a book or something so you don't get fat!", eh?

no, that would be stupid, because the idea that playing videogames leads to obisity is crazy talk.

the netcode is fine, i have had good games all the way from here in kansas connecting to a server in germany with 150ping and no lag issues at all. the problem is that running a dedicated server for farcry is a resorce hog and many people try to run servers when they don't have adiquite hardware or bandwidth.

- I'm on Dialup. I *really* don't feel like downloading tons of patches every time I decide to wipe my computer. Why can't I just download incremental patches for burning on CD or something?

you can just burn your updated .gfc files to cd.

as said before, saving via console commands commonly screws up scripting, the radar, and various other aspects of the game.

you have to edit the registry to get all the acceleration off. or you can just download a mouse accel fix from the cpl's ftp or any number of places.
