with no official word from Epic (who seem to be very protective of their titles from a PR point of view) I'd take this to be a load of bollox until they officially announce it. Although typical bitter trolls/kiddies are out in force today I see.
i read somewhere that Epic had registered the UT2xxx webbys until 2010, but can't honestly seem them releasing this every year. Just because they have changed the title to more of a sports-esque monkier doesn't mean they are going to do a FIFA, by Epic's own admission the reason for doing it was to bring the game more in line with 'sports' rather than yearly updates
anyway, love em or hate them and I'm no fan of UT2K3 particularly at least they support the community with lots of free content, more so than other devs anyway

on the PS2 yes, totally agree (previous SH games were awesome imo on_the_console). My gripe is that PC ports are generally crap and Konami's last couple have been feeble to say the least, having not played MGS2 on the PS2 I got it for the PC (and returned it later the same day - terrible)
I hope I am wrong and Silent Hill is good on the PC, I just aint holding my breath.

The demo for this was alright. it reminded me of Commandos a little bit although I thought the command and order system wasn't exactly the easiest to get to grips with as it felt the reverse of most RTS games, but only had a learning curve of about 15 mins on it. Graphically I think it looks a lot like Z did (same engine ?) Might pick it up if the reviews are good for it

Well if personal insults to other posters make you feel better then so be it.
It'll still be a poor conversion, Konami have sucked so far doing conversions of their titles to PC (MGS, MGS2) so why is it going to be different ?

It was good on the PS2 but its going to be a CRAP PC port, if it turns out to be good then I'll eat my words.
There are very few good PC ports from console games. Resi Evil, FF series, MGS, Wolverines Revenge are all examples of how not to do it. And by CRAP I mean, poor control conversion to the 'PC', using the console interface, token gfx updates like supporting higher resolutions, but little in the way of real gfx improvements like up-res models etc

Advent Rising, an upcoming PC and Xbox third-person action/adventure game that will kick off a trilogy of science fiction games
unless the first one stinks, then there won't be a trilogy

Am I the only person not interested in hearing how uninterested people are in certain games?
Isn't that the point of being able to post comment on here, to give your opinions or are you only supposed to post if you like something ?
All hail the police state, you will think what we think!

@3 I can wait for the demo to be released, I was just pissed that they aren't releasing it yet, the best approach they could have taken was not to be as specific as they were about releasing the darn thing.
Life revolving around a demo release ? Get real.

Yeah I was shocked too...not
I'm looking forward to this as much as the next fanboy, but saying that a demo is constantly 'about to happen' is starting to annoy me

Don't know what I'm more shocked about, the fact that they are putting this onto 6 CD's, just how big is this bastard going to be to install, nevermind all that messing about changing disks during the weeklong install !?! (and no DVD option in sight) or the fact that they are charging more for the PC version. That takes the piss.
Console games cost more mainly because the developers/publishers have to pay for platform licenses which add on the extra you normally have to pay.
