Thought I would check out the demo, I liked the board game and even liked the old Hasbro PC version (no board setup!) but this really blows, same old tired stuff.

Here I've been wondering where you've been. I've almost admired your tenacity in the past, but shit man you suck. Get off the damn board and go back to your fucking Taliban inspired cave. We don't need you here.

I guess thats one way of looking at it.

Another would be don't release shitty games, with little content for 50 bucks while already planning on an expansion pack before the original hits the shelves to further rape the gaming community.

I got ripped off on the original, paid the full 49.99. Decent game, but not worth it. I won't be buying the expansion pack.

With games I always buy them to support the developers but I'm leaning towards "downloading" this one.

I don't see why having HL2 coming soon prevents you from buying Halo too. I'm looking forward to play both games! ]

True, but I can wait for this one to hit $24.99 before I buy it. Maybe Co-Op will be added by then.

There seems to be some speculation on the forum this links to about if this post is legit. I'm inclined to agree it may not be. Even if the game takes somone what the most a week or two to go through the single player only portion then Valve loses. You only pay $9.95 for this game, which they have invested millions in. The math doesn't add up to me.

I used to think Blizzrd rocked, warcraft2, starcraft, diablo. But their newer games Diablo 2 (yes it was great) and Warcraft 3 (not so great) seem a lot like their older games. Do these guys have any original ideas any more?

I'm so unimpressed there are a lot of other companies out there doing more creative work then I've seen out of Blizzard in years. Can't wait for that rehash - Starcraft 2, if they don't go under.

I know this topic has been done to death lately and I'm all down with Blue trying to make money or break even at least but some of these new ads are really annoying. That Battel Fields Secret Weapons one where the Flash guy flys across the top of the screen seems to take forever and obsucures the top post. Scroll down and it flys over those as well.

Can't the ads be a little less obstrusive?

16 Disks! Memories, I had forgotten about that. What a pain in the ass.

I seem to recall always having HIMEM problems, if I loaded the mouse drivers the game didn't have enough RAM to run by a few K. It would slip into Extended but needed an insane base RAM of like 630 or something.

Wait is this a Zero Hour Exp Pack demo or a Generals Demo, I'm not seeing anything on Nvidia or 3Dgamers that says zero hour and before downloading a file this size I would like to know!

WTF, now the mod tools aren't being released at launch, just "soon after". I've been loving the x-box version, but I've been waiting for PC co-op and mod tools too. 50 bucks is sounding higher and higher, even with the master cheif figurine.

Not Pontoon, Paddle boats. It's a game completly about paddle boats, and it's about time too. The use of pedal powered boats during the war is one of the less known stories of the war. These brave men did marvelous things in the waters off the Solomons, the Marshall Islands and in many lakes and amusment parks all around the world.

Considering this game is a flight sim, there is a suprisng amount of ground detail, it looks beautiful! When the Shukla brings down two helicopters, or when the ripple rockets fire...awesome! I can't help think this one is going to be a winner.

The website still says summer 2003, is this going to happen?

Sorry Bosco, I respect you a plenty from previous posts but there is only so much one person can do to show another the truth. That link was a quick dose of reality, I'm sure you can find other articles on the web or go to Amazon.com and look for the books. I'm not trying to prove they had spacestations, and the rocket pack I'm not familar with but the Gotha 229 or Horten 229 is a real plane that only saw testing using a prop engine, the jet prototype was captured before flight testing. Come to your own conclusions.

Yeah, pretty sure I saw a show on the History channel that pointed the roots of the AK-47 right to Nazi Germany. Sure, the Russians tinkered with a lot of technology but they stole the best of it.

Other examples is their B-29 copy and their early jets which look just like late war Nazi prototypes.

Okay, this has probally been beat to death, but how come Gearbox always claims such a huge lead time to port Halo from the X-Box to PC (writing all those pixel shaders takes time) and Splinter Cell, which looks graphically superior was done in a few months?
