I liked it well enough, though it's one of the few games I've never finished.

I'm glad it did well enough for them that it's deemed a financial success.

If everything is read to go, why do we have to wait another 2.5 weeks before we can play it?

Called id / caller number, I'm sure there's something the telcos can do to make that either impossible, or at least so difficult that the expense isn't worth it.

But right now they're just like "Hey, those spoofers make us money! KACHINKG!"

ArenaNet: "Thank you, Guild Wars 2 veterans for your money when you bought the base game! We hope you've enjoyed the years of play that came with that purchase. We would like to expand the world, so we're offering an expansion for a reasonable amount of money. In the hopes that you can get your friends involved, we won't punish new players with an obscene entry level fee of $100."

Me: "Easy. I won't buy your expansions. How do you like that?"
There, fixed that for you..... Yeesh, talk about American Entitlement at it's finest.

Well said, but on the flipside, I do think it's kinda weird they didn't offer, say, 10 bucks off for existing veterans.

I hope that's all in-game / in-engine, because those vistas looked just amazing.

Really excited for this one. I keep wanting to sneak in another playthrough of DE:HR before it comes out, but I just don't have the time! Cry

It looks like Call of Doomty. It took them, what, five years to come up with this?

Microsoft has made a huge commitment trying sort of…

The entire sentence would have been perfectly fine ending there, because that sums it up just fine.

MS has made a huge commitment, sort of, to... ehh... well...

Definitely get a good SupCom vibe from it.

Stardock/Oxide,

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE implement the same / a similar UI system as was available in SupCom. The greatest joy in playing SupCom is the incredible UI that makes it so easy to command the massive amount of units available, and how easy it is to set up patrol routes, change patrol routes, add fighters to the patrol route, add engineers to factories, assign unit carriers to factories etc etc etc.

The Right Click to "Aid" mechanic is genius, and should have become the defacto control method for every RTS since, but sadly, no.

PLEASE implement this.

Wooooooooo! FO4 and JC3, gonna be a great Xmas.

Honestly, I think they purposely held off going up against FO4. I don't think it would be smart to try and compete with that game right away. Nice that they are waiting until Dec.

Undoubtedly.

Yeah, I thought JC2 was absolutely fantastic. Just so much fun to play, so many ways to cause weird, hilarious shit to happen. Roping soldiers to a 747 that's about to take off and watch (and listen) to them dangling behind it, roping boats to 747 and watch them crash, pulling soldiers off water towers with your grapple, flying 747s into statues of Pandak Panai (or whatever he was called), it was all awesome.

Combined with the grapple anything mechanic which just fucking WORKED everywhere, and the awesome chute/grapple method of moving, it was a brilliant game. I'm fucking stoked for #3.

Mets will be tough to beat, but we've seen plenty of examples where the team that sweeps the CS has to sit for a week and then turns ice cold in the world series...

I think the easiest way to shut down robocallers is to force the telcoms to do something about how easy it is to spoof caller id.

They either throttle it or their peering/routing to Google servers is terrible.

Well there was this post a couple years back about firewalling specific google CDNs to speed things up, and it worked for me to an extent, but HD playback is still way spottier than it should be, and ONLY with YouTube. My modem is reporting solid signal and I have a very hard time believing the fault is with Google's servers.

To be fair, Youtube's streaming quality has become terrifyingly shit over the past year and a half or so... Even on my old job's 300Mbps pipe it ran like shit.

But whether that's because of Google not keeping up with the required infrastructure, or because all ISPs now throttle Youtube to promote their own terrible video alternatives, will probably remain anyone's guess.
