Those fuckers in Congress aren't even trying to hide it anymore, are they? $90,000 in money taken from cablecos etc, and the jackass can't even afford a decent fucking haircut.

This was my thought. $2B just seems insane. This has consistently been one of the worst teams in the league. What was the estimated value of the team?

Worst team in the league means nothing. They were terrible because they had a moron of an owner who hired morons as GMs, though for the last five, six years they've been decent.

They are IN L.A. That's all that matters. Put money in that team, hire a GM who knows what he's been doing, and that's a fucking printing press for money. See also: Cuban, Mark.

In any case, no professional sports team owner has ever lost money on buying and then selling a team, as the values of these teams just goes up and up and up. If he sells it in 20 years, he'll make lots more than 2B back.

So expensive toys for rich boys. I guess now we know what Balmer always wanted to be when he was a kid. Still that price tag is kind of inflated? Strange that a businessman wouldnt figure out that he got ripped off bigtime, maybe he thought that he was getting the LA Lakers...

"Bill! BILL! I own a basketball team! Do you own one, Bill? No, you don't! Stopping malarias great and all that, BUT I HAVE A TEAM!!!!!"

Paul Allen: "Hey, Ballmo. I have a team AND a superbowl ring. GIVE IT UP FOR MEEEEE!"

Edit: Cutter beat me to it. DAMN YOU CUTTER!!! Shakefist

Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer buys the LA Clippers for $2 billion.

Holy shit... Well, I guess he at least has money to put in his team.

The CEO of Sony speaking in hyperbole about the products of Sony.....*gasp*...unimaginable! lol

C'mon man. That hardy does anything to make him a joker.

The joker part came because he was calling people who said there were tons of PS3s on the shelves liars, and that it was selling out everywhere. Then, when he made it a challenge, he refused to put his money where his mouth was when the evidence flooded his mailbox.

I think a joker is about the nicest thing I could call him. Maybe a rat faced weasel?

As for taking his opinion on something... from a CEO of a publisher? Please.

I wouldn't say mediocre at all. There's a very short list of games that look better. I'm not sure I can name any offhand.

Crysis 3 not only looks a lot better, it runs quite a bit better too. But on the flipside it doesn't have to simulate as many things as WD does, so that undoubtedly skews the comparison.

Yeah good luck finding one in stock anywhere.

Amazon is saying in stock right now, so if anyone wants one, now's the time to bite.

I need to debate whether I play enough games with joysticks to make it worth the price of 3 full games...

Gamer Devil on your shoulder says: *DOOOOOOOOO ITTTTTTTTTTT*

Gamer Angel on your opposite shoulder says: *Do it and tell everyone that it is to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome*

Wasn't Jack Tretton the joker who said he'd pay double for every PS3 on the shelf right after it launched, only to have to eat crow when people started sending him thousands and thousands of pictures of PS3s on the shelves?

Hang on, did he just say that my 760GTX with 4GB of VRAM is inadequate to run this game??

Yeah, there was a lot of feet being stuff in a mouth there, huh?

edit: I should say I don't doubt getting it running on a number of platforms was an "incredibly complex task". But the wording here (you don't have unified memory, getting it working on consoles AND YOUR PC is really hard on us!) makes the pc sound like a bit of a stepchild.

Not only that, but it also puts a big fat fucking LIAR sign on the head of the toolbag who claimed that Watch Dogs was developed for the PC first. In fact, it may have been the same toolbag who just said this.

Would it be a good idea to just install the NAM mod from the get-go or would you recommend playing vanilla first?

Get NAM. Vanilla traffic is fucking terrible. It'll drive you insane.

Many decried how big-name AAA games no longer seemed to offer the same value-for-the-dollar, as the industry increasingly homogenized its product; even as the production values were getting better, games were becoming shorter, gameplay was less interesting and there was less apparent variety.

The weird thing is that that has COMPLETELY turned around. It was probably four or five years ago that we were lamenting that every game was just getting shorter and shorter, and 5 hour campaigns were becoming the absolute norm, even in a game that had nothing else to offer, but now the SP portions of games are 10-12-15 hours. I fully expected the new Wolfenstein game to be 6 hours, 4 of which would be cutscenes, but there are lots of reports from people who said it took them 15 to 20 hours to complete.

I'm glad it has turned around, but on the flipside, I can see it being a brief respite before it just goes into the doldrums again...

In the immediate aftermath Chmielarz saw EA's marketing as the culprit, reducing People Can Fly's clutch of fresh ideas to dick-jokes for dude-bros. "Things that were, in my opinion, like spices in the game became its main ingredient in the marketing," he says.

Noooooo! Get outta town! You mean EA's marketing department is fucking inept and hinders a game far more than it helps? I'm stunned. Absolutely stunned, I say.

I mean, after their "It's the new shit!" campaign for DA:O, how can anyone think that these guys aren't Don Draper Squared???

tl;dr FUCK YOU AND DIE EA MARKETING DEPT.
