I'm glad they reversed the gem store decision, but every single fucking thing they do now is "the new players don't understand it!!!!" IT NEETZ 2B SIMPLUR!!!1!1 (which new players have 80 fucking gold, exactly??)

I don't know where all these new players are coming from, but I'm tired of the game being completely overhauled (in many cases NOT for the better) for the sake of the new crowd, while all the veterans who've been keeping it afloat can go fuck themselves.

I'm done with GW2. Have fun turning it into Wally's World for all your apparently retarded new players, Anet.

So is the entire "misogyny!" crowd also up in arms about Verizon's commercial where women are portrayed as a flock of chattering birds that can do nothing except SQUEEEEE until glass breaks when they hear of low prices somewhere?

Because I thought that commercial did more to belittle women than pretty much the entire gaming industry combined.

I also very much like that Ars links to a "refute" against the accusation of inethical behavior, and said "refute" is simply an editorial by one guy (an employee of Ars) who is on the GameJournoPro (or what the fuck ever) saying "it's not all of us just deciding what to write on!"

That apparently now counts as an official rebuttal on Ars Technica. That's a mighty fine editorial standard they're adhering to there. "Ars Technica investigated Ars Technica and decided Ars Technica was not guilty."

As for Gawker, it's literally the asshole of the internet. It saddens me that Jalopnik is part of them.

But, c'mon, these aren't journalists, these are people telling you how much the Season Pass for Borderlands 3 will cost.

That I will absolutely agree on. They're editorialists that are bordering on tabloid publication.

Actually, their behavior makes a hell of a lot more sense when you look at them like the bitchy celebrity gossip columnist.

Good, at least some people understand it, though Beamer, you seem to have switched your position on that?

It makes the whole Polygon editor going on and on about the "Journalistics Ethics Code!" so fucking hilarious. 10 to 1 is that he did a quick google search, and that link came up first, and he name dropped it to sound far more important than the page 3 editor that he really is.

Nah, I agree with Pinsof's original action. You shouldn't be able to use your gender status to shield your criminal acts or guilt people into not reporting your wrongdoings.

Okay, I just misunderstood you then.

Eh... :-shrug-: The sex typically makes up two pages in an 800 page book, so I'm not that worried about it.

Speaking of Banks, what are considered to be his best novels?

Why is the quote tag breaking itself?

Because the first word you quote starts with the letter Q. It gets very confused on that.

I never read any of Peter Hamilton's books. How do they compare to say, Ian M. Banks?

Other than the fact he tends to end things with a Deus Ex Machina, I think he's the best sci-fi world creator out there, and I don't think anyone else even comes close. (my opinion, Banks fans don't have to come battering down the gates.)

Try Pandora's Star. It is his best book, and it introduces his most popular universe (The Commonwealth.) It's my favorite sci fi novel of all time. I tend to re-read it at least once a year or so. Great characters, great story, great universe.

That's book 1 of a 2 book series, then there's the 3 book Void trilogy, set in the same universe but a thousand years later, and the one that just came out is book 1 of a new 2 book series set in the same universe and I guess around the same time as the previous trilogy.

Space games are the new MOBA?

We've been getting a ton of them lately. Good thing all the publishers' marketoids decided there was absolutely no market for them anymore. Those marketoids, always with the great decisions.

Mr. Pinsof decided that exposing the scam was more important than keeping the trans persons identity a secret.

I take it you don't feel that way? You'd have kept the person's identity a secret, even though he/she was 100% flat-out lying, and was scamming people out of their money?

I'm not sure that the decision to perpetrate a crime somehow should still afford you the right to remain anonymous.

a series of angry tweets that ended in me sarcastically saying I was going to kill Gabe Newell

Oh, right, they were sarcastic!

There was nothing sarcastic about it, titwallet. While I doubt you genuinely were planning to commit murder, though you do seem fucking dumb enough to actually do something like that AFTER already alerting the police through Twitter, you meant every single fucking line of what you wrote.

So yeah, waaaaaaah, feel sorry for me! I've quit my job! I can't handle it. Way to screw over your fellow employees in your company.

What a fucking dipshit.
