In a typical zenimax greed move, they only put the dlc on sale for 50% off. This is the same way they try to force people to buy their games twice i.e. goty editions.

Because obviously they're holding a gun to your head and force you to buy it again, right?

After quitting ESO for these types of moves, probably won't ever buy a zenimax game at release again. They publish so many extremely popular games, it's doubtful there could be an effective organized effort to try and stop it.

Well, how about you get started, and I'm sure at least three more people will join up after awhile. The rest of us are going to say "Hmm, DLC for 50% off, that's pretty cool, and it may/may not be worth it for me to buy it now."

But you keep fighting that good fight against Zenimax's greed.

not played this yet, that might be my weekend done!

It's a great game, very fun. Highly recommended.

Just play the "I'm killing ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL you motherfuckers!!!" way first, as it's a ton more entertaining.

I was interested until I saw the words "player-driven MMO."

This is marketing speak for "We can't be fucking bothered to create much content, but please pay us money anyway."

The one with the dog is the absolute best. Especially how he's just standing there going "Oh... shit... ehh... come back!" and totally forgot what the dog was called.

Also, what the fuck, people? It's throwing a bucket of water on someone's head. How hard is it for you mouthbreathers? Maybe you should just do one on Facebook or something Rolleyes

Typical Microsoft.

“A promotional tile for ‘Max: Curse of the Brotherhood’ was posted briefly on the US dash in error yesterday,” a Microsoft spokesperson told us via email.

Rather than just go "we made a mistake, we'll suck it up and eat it", they go "Hey fuck you. You're not getting this shit for free even though we sorta did say you would!"

It's that level of fantastically AWESOME customer service that all your stockho... fans have come to expect and love.

A great idea to cut off political discussion and access to a source of knowledge (admittedly Wikipedia isn't the greatest in the world, but it serves as a decent stepping stone).

Seems an odd decision for a university.

I would gladly watch their trailer, but they seem to think that forcing me to watch a fucking commercial of some bint rubbing ointment on a baby is a good way for me to spend my time.

Fuck you, whichever shitty video outfit this video got linked from.

Imagine how much cooler the Raubvogel had been had he just called himself the Bird of Prey.

It worked for the Klingons.

Wait, it looks like Rockstar's Season Passes have everything, but that isn't true for any other game I'm looking at.

I'm pretty sure the AC games always get everything in a season pass.

I don't really give a damn which site we pick, as I spend literally a minute a week on it, but I've heard good things about ESPN's setup.

Also, keep it classy, Orange farmers.

Hugely expansive AAA titles have budgets well in excess of 100 million now

Other than GTA (and even they spend a significant chunk of their money on licensing music), no game has a budget of 100+ million solely for development. The biggest chunks of the total budget goes into marketing, which CR says he doesn't need.

so improving things over the $50 million mark is surely possible.. is it not? They didn't say the additional funding was to make it as good as they expected it to be at the $25 million mark, I think the plan is to make a better game with the extra resources, and people are willing to pay for that chance.

Which is all fine, and everyone can do with their money what they choose, but it's still not a need. Because the way his statement comes across is that "unless we get more funding, we're not building this game the way we have promised."

And that's not the way crowdfunding is supposed to work...

And did you hear about the hookers and blow? Happy developers make excellent games. Beatnik

Can't blame them there.

Wow, I'm a little surprised so many people liked BL2, it put me to sleep. I couldn't even finish one character, and I had like 3 max level, loaded out guys in BL1.

Something about the gameplay was just lacking for me. Console-centric menus and inventory didn't help much either.

word up. I slogged thru BL2. I thought BL1 was far superior. There was no progression in BL2. my character only felt weaker as the game went on.

You had shitty weapons, courtesy of Gearbox's focus on grinding / making the game feel like an MMO. For some reason they thought that everyone would just LOVE having to grind areas for 20 hours to get a decent weapon drop.

Sadly, there are enough retards on their forums that cheered this decision on, so they will likely keep it in place for future editions. Personally, I thought it was a decision that nearly killed the game for me, until I found a way to just fudge the drop rates, and the whole thing became about 10 times more enjoyable.

Again, devs, if you build really cool guns for your games that make players laugh out loud when using them, MAKE SURE THEY GET TO FUCKING USE THEM. This doesn't seem that fucking difficult to figure out.

"The idea that we would give positive reviews for sex is ludicrous. Everyone knows the only way we give a positive review is for cold, hard cash, that we can then turn INTO sex."

That said, if Grayson never even reviewed her games, I don't see what the big deal is.

8. Re: Star Citizen Gamescom Video; Funding to be Deemphasized Aug 20, 2014, 18:39 Creston

While continued funding is necessary to build Star Citizen at the current level of AAA fidelity and no compromises,

What? Didn't you guys say back way when you started, that you needed 20 to 25 million to make the game fully without compromises. And now you have 50 million, and yet you need more funding to build Star Citizen?

These two statements don't match up. You said you needed 20 or 25 million for the game, and everything extra that you've promised since then should have already been funded through the stretch goals. So why do you NEED more money to keep building this game? I get that it's nice to get more money, but you shouldn't NEED it. You should already have enough money to build this game, and all the stretch goals you've promised, because you already collected money to do those things.

Wow, $60? I could have sworn they said at one point it wasn't going to be full priced - maybe I confused it with another title.

60 bucks for what looks like an expansion pack's worth of content. Okay, Gearbox...
