There's been massive numbers of attempts at 'PAR-KOOOOOR' as of late, but none have lived up to the levels that Mirrors Edge set. Maybe "Dying Light,"...... OK, yeah, Dying Light did respectable.

I know very few people here have played it, but Sunset Overdrive does great in its parkour/skate/grind implementation. It takes a long time to master, but eventually you can get around so freaking fast (while doing the most amazing combos) it's crazy.

I'm glad for them. It looks to be an amazing game, and it's good to see it selling so well.

I'm curious what the split between platforms is, though.

Hmmm...

"VTel’s new 10 Gig residential Internet has been made possible by an $85 million VTel telephone network award from the US Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service (RUS)

According to this story, they were already offering 1Gbps before they did this build-out, so the Feds gave Vtel 85 million dollars to upgrade 1Gbps customers to 10Gbps? Meanwhile, 30% of the US can't get 1Mbps connections and everyone refuses to service them?

Something seems off here.

Retail?

Oh right, it's that place where some slack-jawed teenage yokel tells you he can't sell you the game because you didn't preorder it. I think we used to get games there in like 2002 or so.

Well perhaps if it is an 'original' show that drags on, yeah I've seen those shows get boring by the fifth, but Game of Thrones is based on the book material so its supposed to have an end... eventually.

If it was anyone but Robert Jordan II George R. R. Martin writing it, I'd agree with you. As it is, I doubt he has any clue or desire to actually finish the thing.

Here's a simple solution: Don't offer games in which the majority of your content can be played through in two hours.

I've played some pretty short but memorable games that tell a quick story and don't overstay their welcome. It would seem wrong to be able to play it through entirely then get a refund but I guess whatever people are comfortable with. I guess devs will adjust by padding if need be.

I think as long as it's priced right for a two hour game, the amount of people that would actually be such dicks would be pretty minor. If it's like a 5 dollar game, why even go through the hassle of getting a refund? I seriously doubt it'd be a huge issue.

Isn't it in its fifth season? The large majority of TV shows start to go bad in their 5th season.

Ironic that Creston and Nin are the optimistic ones. You other fellas taking the BluesNews cynicism too far?

People here shit all over the last one before it came out as well. Turned out pretty good though.

I'll say. It's definitely in my list of best games. I love DE:HR.

John insists chocolate won't harm the animals.

Chocolate KILLS dogs, you fucking piece of shit. (in large quantities) I understand you're irritated over people's dogs shitting in your yard, I would be to. PUT A FUCKING FENCE UP. Either that, or follow people home with the dog shit and throw it against their fucking house.

It's not the dogs' fault that their owners are worthless assholes. Why put them through fucking agony?

HoSpanky wrote on Jun 7, 2015, 14:22:
So, People are mad that a man is fed up with people leaving their dog's crap in his yard? They should be happy it was chocolate chips and not poisoned food.

It's the same thing, dude. For all intents and purposes, he basically put down rat poison. And yes, it's his yard, but he didn't put down chocolate in the hopes that it would make his mulch smell all chocolaty. He did it because he hoped it would kill dogs, and that makes him a piece of shit.

I guess we'll see what happens. It could be great, in which case we have another publisher/dev who makes great games.

Or it could suck ass, in which case they can safely go on the "When it's 5 bucks or less" pile.
