Re: Why |

Here is a quote from the Oblivion Forums I completly agree with.
It's their decision (Bethesda) if they want to charge for plug-ins, but I won't be buying them. I do believe this has a chance of backfiring, since my future purchases from Bethesda will have me wondering if I am getting 100% of a game when I buy it. Are all the 'cool' features going to be paid add-ons? Do I get the 'watered-down' version in my initial purchase? I'm sure others will be wondering this too. Maybe I'll just pass when I see the next TES title at the software store. After spending $50 on the game, I expect all the content to be included in my initial purchase. They already had the armor mod, and waited to add it in for a profit. What a way to say, 'Thanks for your purchase'.

And what happens if your MB burns out during the warranty time, and the replacement isn't exactly the same? If you buy a complete system, you usally don't buy specific parts.

Albatron GeForce 6600 - 512 MB |

From the article:
The human eye can't detect anything faster than 30 frames per second but there[etc]... Bullshit. This process starts at 60-50 Hz. Indeed, this is why televisions operate at 50 Hz and 60 Hz with PAL and NTSC standards respectively.

From the gamespy article: Oblivion features only spoken dialogue, so you won't have to waste your time with any of that messy "reading" that plagues other RPGs.
Well, I certainly wasted my time reading that gamespy preview. And I don't mind reading well written and atmospheric text in a good RPG.

Re: AMD outsells Intel |

My first AMD was DX40. Sadly, at that time AMD wasn't 100% compatible to Intel; but still way better than that IBM/Cyrix shit. My next AMD was a DX100, which was a bit ahead of a Intel (and miles beyond a Cyrix). Since then (with the exception of a Intel Pentium 133) it was allways AMD for me. I never regretted that decision.

The only real question left is this: Will the Postal movie be worse than Manos: Hands of Fate?
No. Compared to M:HoF the two movies of Boll, which I have seen, are masterpieces of modern art. No matter how many bad movies you have seen (and I don't mean bad like Ed Wood), M:HoF is simply Teh Worst Movie Evar!!1!eleven!

Sorry, but after the Dungeon Lords incident I vowed to ignore Dream Catcher games. No matter how good the finished (HA!) game may be.

Sony PlayStation Portable PSP system US version BOX. This kind of auction still works? 40 bids, and the winning bid was US $202.50. Sometimes I wonder how mankind made it this far...

... I think history will prove that myth of the so-called Holocaust more of an exaduration than fact.
WWII ended 50 years ago. Don't you think that is enough time for "history"? And yes, the number of people who died in the camps is debated. But no serious historian denies that millions of people were killed by the nazis in the camps. There is no debate if it was thousands or millions, only how many millions. And don't give me this shit about a worldwide conspiracy of (whatever) group. Everything can be explained with a conspiracy.
