Im sure your one of the starforce whiners too... I don't buy SF games. If that makes me a whiner in your eyes, so be it. I can live with this.
so you think all online gaming sites are conspirators to give good reviews to bad games? Certainly not. But for me it looks like many game magazines ignore bugs and the like. Seeing that they usally test a early, probably unfinished version, I can understand this to some degree. But still, it's my money I have to pay for the game.
And I certainly support the games industry. I never counted my games, but I guess in my 25 years of gaming I collected a few hundred games. And around 1/3 of them is crap I wouldn't have bought if I had played a demo before.

I'm with cliffski.
After buying to many games wich are buggy, incomplete or simply crap, I refuse to buy any game before testing it. This may change in the future, as it looks like some game publications are returning to more honest game reviews.
But for now, if there still isn't a demo after a few weeks/months after a game release, I (unlike cliffsky) don't have any moral problems getting the "extended demo" from somewhere.

I got the german version which was released a few weeks ago.
While it's a nice game, it's also very buggy. If you are planing to get this game, better wait for the next (or two= patch.

MS doesn't slams Starforce.
As far as I know, you get the same message with every unsigned driver which tries to install itself into certain parts of the system.

Our family always had (and still have) cats. While it's only natural that they die sometime, you'll never get used to it. It's allways a big loss.
The best way to get over it? Go to the animal shelter and get TWO cats.

The release version, even though it’s the last CDV game plagued by the nefarious Starforce protection system, will be a focus of discussion by gamers for a long time.
Too bad. I was really looking forward for this one.

"Banned" means in Germany that the game is not rated by the USK. This means it can only be sold to 18+ years old and that no public advertising is allowed.
Technically speaking it isn't really banned, but the effect is probably the same.

According to the website the release termin is summer 2006. I hope it's a worthy successor to the original UFO:ET. A demo would be nice.
