...and that they also can see the value in pursuing a film adaptation of BioShock. This could work, I think. Of course they need a REAL director for this. And some serious cash.

Our chief weapon is boredoom...boredoom and bugs...bugs and boredoom.... Our two weapons are boredoom and bugs...and a rushed release... Our *three* weapons are boredoom, bugs, and a rushed release...and an almost fanatical devotion to money....

Google Sky |

Jonathan Cobb claims in his suit that he disclosed the idea for a Google Sky idea in internal e-mail discussion groups when he worked at Google as a contractor beginning in 2006. So, Mr. Cobb worked for Google and made a sugesstion to them. Where I work I offer my ideas all the time. Some get used, most don't. Is there really a reasonable chance to win this kind of lawsuit (in the USA)?

Re: Free Sub model |

The question in the interview was if MOrrison thinks that AO will become completly "free", including the expansions but excluding the item shop and ads. And if I'm not wrong, under the current model the expansions aren't open for the non-sub player. I dont play AO, so I could be completly wrong though.

Tactical RPG in this case means real time casual movement and exploration, turn-based combat. Huzzah for turn-based combat! If they deliver everything they promise, it could become a real nice game. Only time will tell. And I haven't seen anything about a release date.

Hell gate London Single Player |

The challenge with launching Hellgate: London was that it was both a single-player stand-alone game and an online game. This meant our focus was divided at times, but now that the game is out, we're all about working with the online community to get them the features that they want and making the play experience better and better. In other words, screw singleplayer support. We got your money, now get lost. Douche bag.

Would be nice if they would release all the fixes for the single player portion (minus that subscription stuff) of the game too. But I guess that is only wishfull thinking...

Bug fixes |

While I don't think that this patch will suddenly make everybody like HGL, it looks like it gets closer to a "finished" game. And regarding the increase of the charater slots from 3 to 24 for non-sunscriber, I never understood why they limited them to 3 three. That certainly looked like a rip-off. And maybe they fixed the vanishing drone inventory this time for real. IIRC, so far every patch released was supposed to fix it.

Looks nice (haven't played the demo), but seems to be aimed at younger gamers.
And according to the website (which is awfully slow) this demo contains the first of four chapters, not the first four chapters.
Das erste von vier Kapiteln ist komplett spielbar. Translation: The first of four chapters is completly playable.

TechConnect Magazine must be one of the worst online magazines (based on the above preview). Lot's of (blocked) ads, and five pages of 5-10 sentences each without any real information.
www.tcmagazine.com was added to my host file.
