Reading through the comments on the Steam forum, this really seems like a quick hack job to make some money with a single-player campaign.
So my advice is to avoid it, just like the browser version. |

A fine example why I hate this "Public Relation" speech: There are setbacks, the game will be delayed, but don't you worry, "Today is a big day for everyone on the Marvel Heroes team!". Everything is fine. In fact, everybody should be grateful!
Never admit that the company is less than 100% perfect. |

How can testing cosmetics on animals save millions of lives?
Procter & Gamble is not a pharmaceutical company, its products include pet foods, cleaning agents and personal care products. |

Yes, it was terrible. Not only was it the most blatant pay-to-win I have ever seen, it's also very boring. Not a good sign if you want people to pay for every little thing; decent Mercenaries, decent ammunition, better base buildings, etc etc.
In short, a terrible game. I don't think there is anything of substance that can be rescued for the Steam release. |

Why film cameras are better than digital cameras. I honestly thought at first that this was a satire, because nothing in that advertisement makes any sense AT ALL. But alas, it's real (though almost 2 1/2 years old)

I own (usually more than once) SimCity (and 2 expansions, SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000, and SimCity 4 with Rush-hour. I think it's safe to say that I like SimCity. But they lost me as a customer for the next installment.

A little help: allowing pornographic and violent media only to 18+ people is neither. |

Just to make things clear:
The sale of such games is not verboten in Germany; they just can't be sold to somebody under 18. And you can't advertise for such publications in media that is available to minors.
Only very few games are actually banned in Germany; I think the number is 13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_video_games#Germany
Nobody forces a developer/publisher to censor their games to get a under 18 release in Germany.
Online sales, where it's difficult to determine the buyers age, are tricky though... |

More serious: I played the beta ~6 months ago and it was, at that time, the most unashamed case of pay to win I've ever seen. Ammo, guns, mercs and facilities for the camp, if you wanted to be just one notch above crap, you had to pay. And from what I heard, it hasn't changed at all. But maybe I was lied to |

Around 3 months ago I got a invitation for this. At that time it was a strong contender for the "Pay To Win" game of the year 2011. I don't know what the current situation is though. |

What Creston said is true. Also, the core group of FM player are no hardcore gamer, like us Blue's reader. They are mostly casual gamer who buy one or two games a year. And this steam activation is new for them. I had the same feelings when steam started to be a requirement for my games. |
