I played SWG one day, that was enough. It was the only MMO that I ever bought till this day, never looked at another MMO again. I'll stick to BF3 thank you.

I was pretty stoked for the game, but murmurs about smaller maps and loss of the commander position and fewer classes than BF2 pretty much killed my interest in the game. Tying it to Origin and making you start it from the web browser were nails in the coffin

Fewer classes than BF2? WTF are you talking about? Also, the lack of a commander is OK as mortars replaced artillery and BF3 is more squad based.

I saw stats a few weeks back where PC was way behind the consoles, XBOX leading them all of course.

I think what damaged this release was the bugs/performance issues and the fact it was a console port pissed off a lot of BF fans on the PC.

Still, I play it on the PC and its a good game that does need the kinks worked out just like BF2 did.

Desert Combat was the only reason that I kept BF1942 on my hard drive and was my favorite mod of all time. If it wasn't for DC there'd be no BF2. Man, I miss that C-130...

The BF3 maps as a whole are much more enjoyable than BF2's however BF2 is much older game. I expect the new Oman to be my permanent home soon, luv that map!

I just played and yes, the stutter is there. Has to be a memory leak that has yet to be fixed.

Actually, this patch introduces more stuttering than it fixes. And oh yeah, more crashes.

Yeah, looks that way. The BF3 forums are lit up about this patch breaking the game.

Wow, so nothing fixed really, no game play balancing or issues people have been reporting just a bunch of engineering B.S.

I can live with the balancing issues for now but the performance/stability problems were a mood killer. I'm hoping the stuttering issues I experienced are fixed.

I suspect the client and server patches are not jiving. Saw this before in BF2 where the client would update instantly and the servers did not.

It'd be nice if there was a path to fix the stuttering and other gameplay bugs...

AVP:2000 was awesome and its a shame Rebellion hasn't been able to keep up. AVP:2010 was fun but could of been a lot better.

A big problem is coordinating this maneuver. You'd have to be in close contact with someone who knows what they're doing. It must not be common as I have yet to see it happen.

Here is their release notes. No mention of BF3 sadly. I'll install the drivers when I get home and if there is still issues then more rage against EA/Dice, aaargh!

I have a AMD 6870 and have the same stutter issue. The console command was talked about last week and didn't work. We think it could be a VRAM issue.

No mention of the stutter fix?? If you go to the BF3 tech support forum you'll see stutter as a top complaint. I don't suggest buying the game till there is a major patch release. Fool me once, EA... fool me once...

ATI has already released a new driver version that's supposed to correct stuttering with crossfire setups.

If there's some other stuttering issue, I have no idea. I've not seen it, myself.

I know and I'm using a single 6870. The stuttering is affecting different systems, nVidia and AMD. Theories are its caused by a memory leak or driver issue. You'll see many complaints in the tech support battlelog forum.
