The other funny thing is, I thought TekWar was a great game that should of changed the genere. It was done with the build engine as well, and released before Duke3D.

Jesus that guy was way ahead of the times, and yet George gets all the credit. They dont even mention his name in the article.

His name is Kevin Silverman. George got lucky, thats all. He discovered a prodigy and then reaped the fruits of his labour.

Which is weird. The article mentions him, his engine, that he was 17, out of high school and from Rhode Island, but neglects to mention his name?!

What do you guys even mean by 'privatize NASA?'

I agree certain aspects should be privatized. What I mean is.

We want to send a probe to Mars. NASA spends 80 million doing that.
Lockheed Martin or Northrop Grumman, would do just a good of a job for half the price.

So NASA should say "This is what we want need, lets have some bids". No long term single company contract over priced bullshit; per item development basis.

Private companies run by businessmen and not bureaucrats are usually much more efficient and productive.

I agree that nobody would do a lot of the work if NASA was not, but NASA being a governmental agency is horrible inefficient. That is part of the built it democrat protections believe it or not.

But I am also a scientists, and I agree that the research should be done. But I know if I had half the budget they had I could be getting a lot more shit done a lot faster.

15. Re: Obama Backs New Launcher and Bigger NASA Budget Dec 20, 2009, 10:54 Enahs

If not it's money wasted that much more necessarily should be spent on earth and its current inhabitants.

A very very large portion of NASA's budget goes to building and launching satellites and performing other measurements on the earths atmosphere, monitoring pollution and natural changes, as well as other regulatory things divined by congress.

NASA's proposed budget is only 0.52% of total budget. Yes, if governments were good at spending money that would make a huge difference, but the government would just waste it in another way.

Also, a good bit of NASA budget goes into doing defense related satellites. And this money is not always accounted for in the reporting for the defense spending.

And yes that money would be better spent in the private sector, I have said before how horribly inefficient NASA is and it sucks. But we can not get rid of them totally because they do a lot of governmental and regulatory business.

No, the point is the Kindle has only been out for 2 years. There was just as much issues in the early days of personal digital audio players when online music sales hit the main stream.

Imagine, for a moment, if there were multiple music file formats instead of the universally accepted MP3? I don't think iTunes, Amazon Music, and many other e-music business would be as popular as they are today.

iTunes use ACC.
Amazon Music uses MP3.
Napster uses primarily WMV.

Those are the three most popular and used digital music stores, and each uses a different format.

Want to try again?

Because it will change nothing. A early termination fee or you are required to pay off the rest of the phone. It will not actual change anything, and there are better things the FCC can be spending there time on. Businesses have to make money to work.

# 42% of cell phone switchers don't switch, thanks to fees.

So the government is trying to make them lower/remove early termination fees.

So, they will either have to charge full price for the phone, or re-work the contract that you pay for the phone in installments over 2 years, and if you terminate early you have to pay off the phone. In the end, it is the same.

People are getting $300 phones for free and $800 phones for 200-300$ bucks. There is no way they can allow people to switch back and forth without penalties and still have the phones at that price.

I do Netflix as well. But Narf is right. Public Libraries have quite a huge collection often. On my town of less then 1500 people the library has all the new releases. Going into the actual city, the libraries there have so much more.

40. Re: Game Reviews Dec 10, 2009, 09:51 Enahs

Hardly a decade goes by where America isn't at war:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_the_United_States

What is your point?
Look at how many wars the UK has been in (limit it to the same time frame):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_the_United_Kingdom

Look at how big the list is for all of the large countries, they are all huge.

America is not the only people at War, if you want to make comments on world politics you might want to first figure out what is going on.

My phone has a rugged metal casing, that is how the phone is built.
And I have a touch screen protector guaranteed for life not to scratch.

I am just saying Boy Wonder, those phones rock.

Forget your silly disdain for touch phones. Get either an HTC Tilt 2 or TouchPro 2. It is a touch screen phone, with buttons, and full QWERTY keyboard.

Great looking screens, huge storage space (I got a 32gb SD card in my TouchPro 2).

hay jerkoff, car start on fire lately? :)

Nope. I happen to have one of those phones. They rock ass.

I hearby declare your name should be downgraded from Batman to Boy Wonder. We will call you Robin for short.

For those of you looking to get something for somebody for a Christmas gift, or get one for yourself. Maybe I missed it here in the forums; But the Farscape DVD's have FINALLY been released, very quietly last month.

Great show. It is a completely different show then Firefly, but I suggest Blue also check it out as well. It is another one of those great SciFi shows not well known about.

We will not be releasing a sanitized or cut down version for territories where adults are not considered by their governments to be able to make their own entertainment choices.

I love this CEO Jason Kingsley! Well said my good man.
