I had pizza too last night! Left overs for lunch.

What is really odd, in the Chicago suburb areas they make the pizzas round and then cut the pizza into the same little square shapes as you described; you have to specifically ask for "pie cut", the bastards. This is for hand-tossed or thing crust.

And it is really hard to find "Chicago style" pizza in the Chicago suburbs....

Only very few games purchased from other places can be incorporated into Steam so you can re-download them from steam.

How ever, any game (or applications for that matter) can be added to steam manually; so it is in your list of games. When you run the game it will notify people on your friends list you are in that game, etc.

Full steam community in the games do not work though.

Thanks all for the Laptop recommendations yesterday, I read them today in the office (since I'm STILL without power).

In short, I was looking for a 15" desktop replacement for software/DB development and gaming; something with a mid-2GHz i7 Quad.

If this is going to also be your primary gaming rig, be prepared for it to be big and bulky. And also, the power inverter (often over looked) is going to be quite large and heavy as well. Your battery will not last long either.

I am currently using an Asus gaming laptop as my main gaming rig, the 17.1 screen is great; plus I have HDMI out and can go to larger trivially. But it is not exactly pleasant to carry around or super portable.

If you do not need portable gaming needs, you can get a decent cheap laptop and a decent mid-ranged desktop for the price of a gaming laptop.

Regards to laptops and what other people are saying.

The 560M is decent, but it will not handle games like Metro 2033 at 1080P to great.

If it is going to also be your primary gaming system you want to step up to the 570m or 580m at least.

All of my hardware (gaming and other wise) has been laptops for a while now. I have over 10 laptops that are less then 2 years old.

What exactly do you want this laptop for? That will narrow down the requirements.

I personally prefer Asus laptops. They have good style and have been by far the most rugged I have ever used.

... yes, it was only a 20 cent rise, but hardly an auspicious day for me to start red boxing.

Hah hah.

If you look at the optics and science of it, it only will work for things setup with just a drastic field of depth as in there examples.

Everything else (most things people will take a photo of) will be in complete focus like normal point and shoot cameras. So no, when you go to the zoo with your kid and take a photo of the zebras with it, they are all going to be far enough away that they will all be in focus, there is no making one zebra focused and the other blurry; even if those 2 zebras are 100 ft away from each other.....unless you are in the zebra habitat....which if you are either your zoo is really freakin cool or you are going to jail.

So while it is cool, and I love the science behind it, it is not very useful and will only do as advertised in very limited settings.

And for sixtoes response, well, if you are going to do post processing of some kind, then why not do as PHJF suggested and put everything in focus and add the focusing effect with the computer in photoshop, etc.

QR codes are really freakin sweet in the new version of Windows Phones; so easy to scan. You are just one hardware button and one on screen button to access it from any application doing anything else.

Well for my birthday today I'm going to attempt to make gnocchi (naw-key), which I've had the pleasure of discovering at a local Italian joint. The problem is this dish calls for a potato ricer, a lesser-known kitchen implement of which I am not an owner. So now I'm off to scour the city of Wilmington for such a device because dammit, I mean to make me some gnocchi before the day's end, and I mean to do it right.

If you want to try some other great non well known Italian dish, make some Bagna Cauda!

I learned about it from B5 back in the day, but it is pretty damn good.

For me it is Laffy Taffy. All the other snacks I can go without. And I can absolutely not buy Laffy Taffy. But when there is Laffy Taffy around I can NOT stop eating it.

When I piss my friends off the buy me like 50 pieces of Laffy Taffy.
I can not throw it away either. So I eat it, all at once. By piece 15 my jaw is hurting but I keep going. I could kill my self with Laffy Taffy, easily.

I never buy or eat any other candy or junk food. Just does not appeal to me.

This is the only site that I visit regularly that forces them, and as a web developer (13 years) I don't recall one incident where this became an issue.

Okay, now I'm confused. I thought you were asking for code to remove underlines, but it sounds like we are adding code that forces them?

Can you clarify that for me? And as Sarris says in Galaxy Quest, "Explain as you would a child."

I believe he is saying, that if you do not force link underlines on through the css code (just remove that entire line) it will do what the browser is set to by default. By default in most browsers links are underlined, but you can turn that off for your browser.

I'm a developer. Please allow me to clear up any confusion regarding hyperlinks

D...
Using the latest version of Firefox (v7.0.1, downloaded today) I performed a simple test by dragging-and-dropping a hyperlink onto a custom application. I manually inspected the data associated with the drag/drop operation and saw 14 different data formats available, including HTML Format. The title of the linked page was included as part of the data.

Now my nerd radar is got me interested. Would it be easy for you to repeat the same experiment with Chrome and see how many formats it supports?

Right, it can't be that this is a bug in Firefox since version 1, because Firefox is infallible, and the fact that Chrome came out years later and works fine is because they are supporting some "archaic standard that FF ditched." I am growing more comfortable than ever before that you are trolling me.

I am not trolling and your comment sounds more like trolling to me. I am just stating a fact that the technical issue you complained about is not a technical issue for me. I never said FF was infallible, I just said that with the current version it works fine for me. I never said anything bad about Chrome. Saying that the reason MIGHT be that FF does not support an old standard is not an insult to Chrome. Or again, as I said, it works for me in the current version and implied that yes maybe they just now added it. You are trolling and I evoke the troll bashing emoticon on you! Trollbashing

Chrome not creating proper links in my HTML editor works fine for you?
You said FF was not creating proper links, not Chrome. And I said FF does, for me. You said your technical issue with FF was it not creating proper links; but that tech related issues works fine for me. So yes, my original comment still stands.

Blue, When I drag and drop links with FireFox, it uses the Title property and not the link URL.....You must not be dragging and dropping properly!

Man, do you love disagreeing with me!

Or it is finally implemented in the latest version. Or you have something configured oddly.

Or we are talking about two different things. This works correctly when creating desktop shortcuts, but not in my HTML editor.

Yes I do.
I do not know anything about the standards, but it works for me in not just creating desktop shortcuts. It works in 3 different word document editors. And I just tried it with several different web based HTML editors and it works just fine as well (and I launched the HTML editor in the three different browsers, and even to the other browsers it transferred over just fine form FF).

So, either your HTML editor is using some archaic standard that FF ditched but the others still support; or something else is going on!

I am not telling you to stop using Chrome; I could care less what you use. I am just saying; your main tech related issues works just fine for me.
