3. Voice over IP May 4, 2003, 20:49 Mr. Tolerance

The Voice over IP chews up like next to nothing of my really crappy DSL bandwith- my Planetside connection is still smooth as silk when using it. Problems with it should go away when they get it all handled server side, which they stated is one of their goals.

P.S. I'm not a Planetside fanboy or anything, before anyone accuses me of that. I like the game alright, but in it's current incarnation it isn't worth my money.

Oye. Graphics got shinier.. controls got a bit awkward.. other than that it's a carbon copy of the X-Box version. Good stuff for those of you who didn't already pick up the X-Box version.

Oh.. and for the record.. this is the least exciting stage in the whole game.

And Scottish.. it should work on your hardware. Try redownloading and reinstalling? Mayhaps a file got corrupt somehow.. <shrug>

What error message does it give?

I totally agree. Don't get me wrong- I actually enjoyed the OC... but not NEARLY as much as Baldur's Gate 2. I think at this point I've played through Baldur's Gate 2 four times.. getting EVERYTHING I could and doing every quest I could each run-through. The game freakin gripped me and wouldn't let go. The OC for NWN is just entertaining enough to keep me playing to the end, I guess. I would imagine that the expansion packs and sequels and whatnot should be good though, as Baldur's Gate 1 and Icewind Dale 1 are damn near unplayable in my eyes, and their sequels are full of yummy goodness.

You know what I would like to see? A game using the NWN engine based on the Wheel of Time d20 rules.. I'm really fond of the WoT d20 system. I'm dm'ing a game of it, and it's highly enjoyable.
