I just wonder what the first major kickstarted project that will implode under poor management will be. It will be interested to see how much excitement will be left for this model then.

The reason for the proprietary format is pretty simple.

It's an attempt at trying to prevent modding/piracy of their new handheld.

Will it work.

Doubtful.

Hmmm I wonder if this is at the heart of why the FPS Xcom is set in the 50's. Maybe they are setting that up as the 'prequel' which ties directly into the new Turn Based game they just announced.

That might be interesting.

Would be cool to see Skyrim used in that big BF3 british 'holodeck' thing they made a lil while back. Combine that toy with the kinect for attacks/magic/voice control, could be pretty dang neat.

If I remember the correct way to send this off would be...

1. Drive a stake through its heart
2. Behead the body.
3. Burn the corpse.

At least that's how I think you handle the undead.

Shipping a game incomplete I find unforgiveable.

The 'Online Pass' just adds insult to injury.

I had this all preordered and was looking forward to playing it but
after these two 'gems' of info I think I will be passing.

If I do play it, it will be a used copy.
It's "incomplete"?

You didn't even fucking know it had co-op until yesterday. Jesus christ. Why would you preorder it if it didn't have co-op, when it appears that co-op is so important to you that you would cancel knowing it's coming a month later?

Seeing as how I assumed it did have coop on release, until yesterday.
That explains why I preordered it. Also, it explains why yesterday
I decided not to preorder it anymore.

Seemed simple enough to me.

News Comments > On the Star Wars Galaxies Closure
12. Re: On the Star Wars Galaxies Closure Jul 12, 2011, 17:16 UttiniDaKilrJawa

The open world asp[ects of SWG were quite spectacular for the time. Was fun to see gameplay that didn't revolve exclusively around 'whack-a-mole' quests. It let you play how you wanted. Merchant/Healer/Entertainer as well as the usual 'whack-a-molers'. The one area where SWG failed at the start was lack of story content. SOE could have done some awesome things that could have expanded the Star Wars universe, but for some reason left it mostly untouched.

Once Holocron grind started, that was beginning of the end. The revamp after that pretty much killed it for me. Haven't been back since. Might show up for a month just to see the universe end.

I was thinking about this today.

I find it a bit ironic that they are willing to spend time and effort for less than 10% of their player base (that is way more than it is) but they don't try and fix or address things that affect a much larger %.......

They are morons.

It's not really about fixing anything for anyone.
It's just Activision's way of trying to say...'see we're not completely evil'.
