Was one of those unplanned sort of things. You know the kind that starts off with that infamous phrase 'I'll quit right after I accomplish <insert video game achevement here>'. Just one thing lead to the next lead to the next , before ya know it..72 hrs...POOF! ehehe

Man, I remember this game. Favorite game for my old 386. One weekend played it for 72 hrs straight, no saves....only to have my computer crash out on me. Damn dissapointing moment....still an awesome game.

20 odd days, not bad. but AoC is do on the 20th and I had hoped to have 3 odd weeks to play ME while I waited lol.
This is of course assuming that AoC doesnt suffer any delays

what mmos besides WoW are hogging up the limelight? wow is really the only game in town we havent had a really good MMO since then ..bioware would be the one to top or at least equal blizzard in terms of quality
Actually WoW is NOT the ONLY game in town. Its just the biggest and most well known. As far as Sci-Fi goes there are a couple of ones out there doing very well within their communities. CCP has EVE Online great for that TradeWars vibe. Anarchy Online is still chugging along with enough followers to be profitable. City of Heroes/Villians could also be considered a successful Sci-Fi RPG. Hell, even SWG is somehow managing to keep enough subscribers to make it profitable.
So as you can see by these examples there is always room for more MMO's whether or not they can be as good or better than Blizzards WoW.

The site must be seriously getting slammed or is seriously borked. Ordered the 2 disc set and tried downloading, the download stopped after 8 sec with only 4MB downloaded. Sent an email to their support address, so hope I hear from them soon. Just be aware...site ...may .be...s l o w

I could see this happening if they can get keep the production costs of the drives low enough. Its not really about the movie aspect, as much as the additional storage capacity the HD-DVD will give to developers. A couple developers already have had trouble shoe horning their games onto the standard DVD's so it could be launched onto the X-Box. If they do it, it'll probably be launched as some sort of Media Edition.

It wouldnt be so bad if there was some sort of decent single player story driven part of this game. Then 60 bucks would be ok.
Although, if you give us just a multiplayer game and thats it, the price should only be about 30 or 40 bucks. Especially, with all the money they saved in NOT making a single player component.

Well....damn.
I guess thats the end of this project for me. I was really looking forward to this game but now seeing as how they are crippling the single player game to make me want to pay 10 bucks a month for the priviledge of playing the rest of it. I think I will pass.
I don't mind paying 10 bucks a month for extra content, that I can handle. What I can't stand is the way they are limiting the number of characters, the amount I can loot, and (for freaking sakes) the highest level I can attain.
Stick a fork in her....I think she's done.
Game over and I'm all out of quarters.
