More like criminals, am I right? They are charging consumers for free content. Free patches, free demos, free games, et cetera... And no, that bullshit excuse about "paying for access to fast servers" is just that, bullshit. They are selling free software.
That is why I dislike FilePlanet.

It's a great game and I love it, I just wish I had broadband so I could actually enjoy online play. In any case, it's nice to see them supporting it so well. People call it propaganda, whatever, it kicks ass anyway.

From the moment I saw Sugashack's redesign, I had a feeling Blue would do something soon. Here it is. And it's not so great. The header is really really bad, it completely ruins the symmetry of the site. The rest of the stuff looks good though. I like the font change and the bullets. The huge frame ad I have been seeing a lot lately and can't say that I like it. It's your site, you should have the final say regarding the ads you want displayed on your site. That being the case, you should have something more symmetrical designed with special areas in it for ads of a certain size/shape. That would improve the site much more. Ads aren't always bad, it's just when they are instrusive or ruin the aesthetics of a site that they become a problem. If you can overcome these problems, then the site would be much more enjoyable to view with the new design.

Bringing you the widest array of retards with Internet access available, Blue's News comes through, with more stupidity than our competition can claim. Call now and get a free "Do Not Feed The Forum Trolls" poster, and if you act fast you'll also receive this lovely complimentary Jack Hammer for those really nasty corns.
Popularity is a bitch. Ignore the vocal minority, Valve. Steam, though obviously needs a little work, is a great step into the future. Even if it fails, someone had to make the leap.
The Small Penis Brigade may now continue their bandwagon hatred.

That is where you are wrong. A reviewers duty is to give the reader an unbiased view of various aspects of said item. The gameplay, features, what-have-you, are what add up the points. Then usually at the end the reviewer gives you their 'opinion' which should count for very little in the scoring. Though there are admittedly a few sites who score solely on their opinions, or how much money they got (IGN, GSi, GameSpot).

I was about to say the same; that is the way the game is supposed to be. But to really understand the Serious Sam games you have to have been a long time gamer (Mainly PC) and community veteran. There are so many inside jokes, both subtle (The Duke Nukem Forever telephone booth call), and not so (1 word: Crates). It's a brilliant series and I hope it continues on triumphantly.

Umm, as long as you have CS installed and convert it to a Steam cache, Steam wil only download necessary updated files. I finished updating in 2-3 hours last night on my 56K.

I can't understand all these people bitching about Steam. Have they even tried it?! That and they don't bother educating themselves about the Software and Operating Systems they use. One of the downsides of the simplicity of Windows, nobody thinks. Instead they tend to bitch religiously as soon as they have a reason to. Once they do it starts spreading and even people who haven't used it start to hate it. Power of influence.

It's a "patching/auto-updating/download/server browser" software. Please tell me why it needs a 1.0Ghz system with 256MB of RAM. We all know all this HD space is needed since Steam download stuff while your not looking and that internet connection because your fucked if you're on 56k. But why would it need a 1.0Ghz CPU with so much RAM. Since the only thing you were able to use it for in the beta was playing a 5 years old game. They recommend a fast fast system such as that because Steam creates a "cache" for the games and suc that you download. The caches are single-file archives which tend to become rather large. If you've ever compressed/decompressed large zip/rar/ace archives then you'll understand why they recommend something better than a 200MHz Compaq with 32MB of RAM.
In any case, you can get a processer which is faster than that, a mobo to support it, and 256MB of RAM for around ~$100-150.

Granted, those on 56k connections are screwed...but hey, it's time to upgrade, people. Tell that to the broadband providers who are still charging upwards of $60 a month. Then there are problems with unavailability which is more common than you would believe.

Prepare your "We Won't Buy Half-Life 2!" signs.
Joking aside, has anyone actually seen anything official from Valve on this issue? I have yet to. All I've seen is this mentioned at the Inquirer and Gamestar, neither of which I trust as far as I can throw Artie Lange.
