I feel pretty fortunate I havent had to deal with glasses after 38 years. although I have a slight blur that can only be seen at night, that is the extent of me ever having issues.
I have to say that if I ever *did* need glasses, I wouldnt stop at one exam, I would need a second opinion just to make sure the perscription was correct.

Just picked up my NWN2 a little while ago. im still at work but as I read through my strategy guide (avoiding the walkthrough pages) im pretty excited. I went ahead and bought the limited edition, wasnt too impressed with the differences the 2 rings, cloth map (very flimsy map, basically a picture on a piece of cheese cloth) the rings are metal one has "chaotic evil" on it and the other "Lawful good". art book is something extra too.
anyhoo cant wait to give it a shot, looks like the first impressions are good. wooT!

It now requires at least a 128 MB pixel shader 2.0 video card (ATI 9700 Pro or nVidea 6600 or better), and recommends a 256 MB pixel shader model 3.0 (ATI x1600 or nVidea 6800 GT/GS).
That's from the box cover, which supersedes what's actually printed in the manual -- the requirements listed in the manual are even higher (1 GB system RAM/a 256 MB Video card required/2GB system RAM/512 MB video card recommended) but those were made based upon testing an unoptimized build, and so were replaced by the box cover's. In any event, the requirements are very high, and definitely higher than Oblivions.

Just another reason why I wont touch this game. I pay for the game, I shouldnt have to be pushed products on. I play to play, not to be encouraged to buy a big mac.
EA games "Challenge Everything" how about you guys face the challenge by not putting ads in your games.

Since when is XP 200Bucks? Sounds to me you got ripped for buying a crap unsupported OS to me. XP may take more space and be a resourse hog, but if your running half way good hardware, you dont notice it. Dont like the silly baloons and eye candy, HELLO its an option. You simply have more flex with XP Pro. Buy a hard drive and pick it up for 100 buxx. Hell you can still pay 100 buxx for it if you look hard enough.
Oh and toasters are really cool, they toast bagels now too!

I cant imagine the size of the full game. 2 DVD's or what?
So is it confirmed that this is PC Gamer Mag? Might as well go there and get it, at least i'll have a mag and the file on disk instead of taking up space on my drive.

I know everyone always says it so it this point it is cliche more than anything else but here it goes: After Battlefield 2 I'm seriously considering never purchasing an EA game again. The buggy launch, the re-install your game because the patch is fucked, the handling of the community demonstrated by this news item, the expansion pack four to five months after release of the (almost certainly still broken) core game; all of it adds together to leave me feeling pretty burned and this definitely isn't the first time EA has left me feeling that way. Other than Half-Life 2, which I can get through Steam, EA has absolutely nothing of interest in their catalog. Sports games and extremely pedestrian shooters do not exactly get me excited. At this point EA can continue making their tepid, unoriginal games; I just won't buy them.
Cheers guy. Now if more people in the gaming world actually did this rather than just say it, maybe EA would learn something.

Do we still stay downgraded for this expansion? if people keep the 1.01 patch are they screwed? your site says stay tuned for a HOTFIX to fix the last patch. A patch to fix a patch? How the hell is it that a game goes gold that needs a patch to fix a patch??
How can you honestly start asking us for MORE MONEY when you cant even put out an actual GOLD game?
