He enjoys the game so he paid for it, but he wishes the maintenance and always online wasn't the case - not very complicated I think.
Actually how did he enjoy the game before he played it? Maybe he started enjoying the game because he did pay 60 bucks and cognitive dissonance hits and resolves by telling himself he enjoys the game. Or you can say that he thought he would likely enjoy the game so he paid for it. There is more than 1 possibility. |

| Based on what I read, I think this study shows that shooting video games make you better shooters in real life. Kind of like going into the military makes you a more efficient killer. |

| I'm all over this game. I loved the first one. It was mostly a corridor shooter but given the scenario, it could not have been done any other way. It was very Half Life like in its story driven nature. |

The thing I think some people have an issue with is dying, get used to it, you will do it a lot and it doesn't really matter. In fact you'll do it to yourself once you start getting good in the game. Definately. You are too close to your enemy and then midair spinfuzor disk them (blue plate special), you hear that lovely ping sound, but if you are too close to the explosion you can suicide. But that ping sound more than makes up for it. |

| When you have real money in play, then you are really motivating the hackers to look for exploits to make real money. |

I love Tribes Ascend. I am level 30. It's the only first person shooter where almost every weapon shot feels like a skill shot. That's probably because almost all the weapons are not hitscan and thus have travel time and you really have to lead your shots more so than other games when you are just compensating for ping lag.
Team stacking is a problem in pubs. I think if they added a "random" team joining button, it would go a long way toward balancing the teams.
I also wish that they made it easier to vote kick and especially mute players, right from the GUI. Maybe they will eventually. I hope so. |

Look, it is simply not acceptable, from my consumer perspective, to decide to implement a login system and persisent internet connection that negatively impacts MY ACCESS to a game that I paid for in single player play.
But this is a dead horse and it's done. |
