Vampire should appeal to the... "upper class" gamers, if you will. People seeking games with... *substance*. Meaning. Depth. Something not quite as stale as the traditional FPS title. Surely this is not hard to understand? Surely no it isn't, but that doesn't make it true. To suggest that those who play Vampire are more mature and intelligent then those who play Half-Life 2 is laughable.
Is it possible Vampire is a better game? Of course. Might it be more difficult and require more thinking? Absolutely. However proposing some sort of Gaming Class System based on who playes what, is complete nonsense and probably one of the more ridiculous things I've read online.

Like a couple other people here, I didn't even realize this had multiplayer planned. I can't see the fact that it doesn't hurting sales too much.
We have multiplayer geared games throwing in half-assed single player, and single player geared games throwing in half-assed multiplayer. Sure it may look good putting that extra bit on the box and in your ad, but it just slows us down getting to what we really came for.

I was all set to be disappointed by this but am glad that I was am not. It turned out much better than I though it looked. And I think the graphics are pretty darn good, nothing ground breaking but they have a nice style to them. Just wished they had made setting up the controls on the PC a little less frustrating. |

Textures are very poor, sounds crack and pop, voice acting is terrible, changing key bindings to anything on the mouse doesnt seem to have any effect, and blasting squad mates seems to be ok with everyone, even the squad mate.
However the jungle does look somewhat junglish, which is a plus. Thats all I can think of at the moment though.
I'd say pass.

Well I guess Im the only one who found these videos to be a little disappointing. The animations are absolutely horrible compared to the rest of the environment, and the limited number of vehicles is a let down as well.

This is the case with all games that have bump mapping. Take a close look at the textures in Far Cry, or Halo with bump mapping on...same thing happens to them. I have to disagree with you there. Far Cry had textures that were atleast 10x more detailed than Thief's. Now don't get me wrong, I really dig the game, but whoever wrote the engine needs to head back to the drawing board. The quality of the graphics vs. the way it performs just doesn't make any sense.

Does firing an arrow hard and direct into the face of a guard still just startle him? Only if he is already aware someone is about. Just like the original 2.
