My server is still jam packed full of people, so I wouldn't say they are doomed yet. But I think releasing some sort of classic only server would do them a great justice. I realize the logistics of this would be crazy, but still, they can do it.

The Thing game was pretty good, I enjoyed it. I remember my PC version actually came with the movie too.

OTC has anyone tried doing a Win7 install with only a Administrator account, bypassing the UAC or is it even possible?

The idea I'm kicking around is to Reboot at the UAC prompt. On restart letting it go strait into the desktop, creating the Temp Admin account. At the desktop Enable the main Admin account, so on all start ups there is only the Admin account to login.

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to achieve, you can disable UAC if you wish.

I liked fitzquake simply because it preserved the original glquake look, and I couldn't get certain commands (-width -bpp, etc) working with the steam version of glquake w/o it crashing...

I agree, the other engines do look great, but there is something about the original look that appeals to me. Granted I can play in 1920x1600, something I couldn't do 15 years ago.

I imagine PS3 sales would be the highest, considering PC is my first choice, but the fact that the PS3 version included the PC version, I purchased that instead.

There are no particulars on what is included in the sample of the game.

A sample of twelve years of sadness and regret.

Whole point of his statement. They started the Fucking DM for crying out loud, IF they want to leave it out, They can do whatever the Hell they want. Some of you because of some of ID failures seem to forget , this is EYE fucking DEE. You wouldnt understand the true admiration unless you were there during the whole evolution of FPS and DM.

I mother Fucking D bitches

For someone who claims to have been around since their beginnings, you should learn how to write and pronounce their name.

That is all well and good, but he is building a town with nothing but steak houses, if you want McDonalds you have to go to the next town over. You want your town to have options for everyone, since people like different things.

They should just go back to the way it was in 1942 and have bot play for singleplayer. Definitely a good way to practice, even if they were dumb as shit.

I really need to dig up all the interviews about how they were gung-ho about supporting dev's using their engines.

What would be the point, he pretty much says that here? If they didn't care about the developers, then it wouldn't make a difference if they overhauled core pieces of the engine.

It is also true though that this doesn't mean as much as it would have 5-10 years ago.

As far as I know, you can still play co-op over the network. Just that if you wanna play on the same PC, it has to be with controllers.

In the demo, or the complete game? The wording in the description makes it seems like a no in the demo.

Two player 'local co-op' really? I imagine .1% of people would play it co-op on the same pc. If that is the only way to play co-op in the complete game, why even bother including it?

BF2 was multi?

Battlefield Bad Company 1 & 2 and Battlefield 1943?

Some would consider the Bad Company series different from the BF series, like DICE itself.

BF2 was on consoles, it was called Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.

Don't forget Michael Morhaime answers to Kotick now, the guy probably charges his mom to have him come over on the holidays.

Not that I am defending Blizzard here, this sucks.

Yeah it's pretty annoying, I got the PS3 version simply because it came with the free PC version, ended up playing the whole thing on PS3.

Still waiting for PSN to come back up so I can unlock the PC version

Why do you need PSN to unlock the PC version? The Steam code was on a card inside the game case. You just enter the code into your Steam client and it will add the game to your profile and download it for you.

You can't, if you try, it says you must first log in on PSN, that is unless valve has changed that due to the outage.
