Yeah, Better Call Saul has been fantastic. Not much more to say about it...and Bob Odenkirk just kills it as Saul (like he did on Breaking Bad).

Everyone should be playing Cities: Skylines. It's pretty fantastic even with the commercial zone bug although the mod fix seems to have corrected that problem for me. I have about 75,000 on 3 tiles so far and I can't stop building. I love this game!

I've started 4 cities and wiped them from scratch refining how I build them every time. I have yet to run into a design that I like long enough to keep playing for more than 5 hours straight. If there's one thing that's actually missing, it's disasters.

Yeah, the odd natural disaster would add a welcome wrench into the generally pleasant proceedings.

Very disappointed there is no further content for the story yet. There were a few let downs in this game. Seemed like the more work you put into a side quest, the less it paid off at the end. And the ending itself (or rather the lack of any ending whatsoever) left me feeling cheated, as much for the way we "played" it as for what actually happened.

Still, it took me a t least 2 weeks to finish it playing each night after work, and I really enjoyed it while it lasted.

Yeah, the ending, and ending gameplay sequence, both sucked. I imagine they left the ending like they did to make future DLC (and maybe a sequel?) make more sense in the gameworld. Everything else about the game was pretty great...except the "film grain" effect.

I pretty much never replay a game, but with Dying Light I might be tempted to do it all over again in Hard Mode. This is a really, really awesome game.

Interesting cheap headset roundup. What does everyone here use?

I had the Logitech G35s, but my wife got me the Sennheiser PC 350s, and now I use those. They are a little more comfortable than the G35s were for me.

I really hope this game can build up a decent community. It's an absolute blast to play.

I've just played the demo and thought it was great. It's really a terrific multi-player game.

I love my dogs almost as much as I love my wife and my son. There is nothing greater, other than family, in owning a dog.

The crazy cat guy agrees. I've spending upwards of $500+ a month right now to keep one of mine going. But she's not in pain, and is about 90% of her usual self (other than sleeping a bit more). On the surface, that's nuts...but when it's one of yours...we'll quit when she's ready to quit, and not before.

Yeah, I totally get that. I've probably spent in excess of 12K in the past three years on my two dogs. My girl dog has twice needed a $3500 surgery to fix a torn ACL in her leg. (both sides)

And every time I see her running happily in my yard, I think there wasn't anything better I could have done with that money.

I had the same thing with my Lab when he was young (around 3 years old I think). He tore one ACL, then tore the other a year later. Did the $3500 TPLO surgery both times. He's now about to turn 10 and has been in terrific shape ever since. No signs of arthritis or anything else up to this point. It sucked at the time, but I'm sure glad I didn't cheap out on any of the less expensive options.

Why is it that it's always the little shitdisturbing dogs that win the Westminster Dog Show? When was the last time a Lab or something like that won?

Edit: Did my own research.

A Newfoundland won in 2004, but other than that it's pretty much always a smaller breed.

So Dying Light is pretty decent. I think it might get old fast, but we'll see.

Even as someone who got tired of Dead Island by the end, I admit the videos do make it look fun. If I wasn't still plowing through the fall releases, I'd have grabbed it. But as it is, I'll grab it in 6 months for half off...

Yeah, I wouldn't pay full price for it. When it's in the $20-$30 range it'd be more worth it. I just don't see a ton of depth in the game.

This is a decent game, but the combat is still too simplistic and generally easy. Once you figure out how to kite enemies to you and also use doors to your advantage, it becomes pretty easy to win any fight.

It is a really great concept though and still pretty fun...try the demo!

This is a game certainly deserving of a HD update. I will buy this. Super-addictive.

Except

Does not come with Shadow of Death or Armaggedons blade expansion packs
No random map gen
No 1v1v1 maps/scenarios

It's an empty husk of the game. Yeah in HD, but lesser in all ways compared to the old game.

Pfft. Still a lot of game there for $15 or $20.

If anyone's looking for a DayZ-style game and already own ARMA 3, the Breaking Point mod is pretty fun. The ARMA 3 engine runs like a dream, and the network code is vastly superior to DayZ's. I dunno why DayZ wasn't developed in conjunction with ARMA 3, using the ARMA 3 engine, but this has left the door open for mods like Breaking Point.
