Yes, he's an idiot because he said a movie was too violent and then gave his voice to a violent video game. Oh, I don't know if he could be classified as a 'pacifist' by the way, just because he said a movie was too violent. I don't think he was so much a pacifist so much as he just disagreed with the tone of the movie.

I was wondering why Steam was so shitty this evening. Just a handful of DoD servers, not to mention the random kickings and such. Maybe tomorrow it'll be better....

Those are some of the most insenstive, ignorant comments I have ever read on a public messageboard. YOU should be ashamed of yourself for having such ill-conceptions about the world. People like you are the problem in today's world, not the other way around. "war solves everything". You are a warMONGER. I only hope to hell that you can eventually realize how horrible wrong you are. Go live in Iraq when the U.S. is dropping bombs on it, and tell me that war solves everything.

I would rather the government “waste” money on those people, willing to work to better them self’s then just hand out welfare and unemployment to waste of space lazy asses.
Oh dear...inner...liberal...exploding. Let's not get carried away now....
I would just like to say that vFunct makes a good point when he says "there are other ways to win things beside war." This is true. War should alwaysalwaysalways be the absolute last resort. In some cases it has been, and in those cases it's been justified. I refuse to get drawn in to another pointless debate with some NRA cardholder about which wars are not justified.
And I was failing to even consider the fact that the Canuck version of the holiday is different... sorry for correcting you.
Must...resist...making...comment...about...stereotypical...American.... Phew. Dodged that bullet.
Oh, and the term Canuck is not derogatory. But I'd prefer to call us hosers if you must. Oh, or you could just say "Canadian". I know it's a little long and the Yanks here might have problems remembering how to spell it, but for god's sake you have the longest country name in the world. U n i t e d S t a t e s o f A m e r i c a. Geeze.

Remembrance Day |

Remembrance Day up here in chilly Ottawa. Would've gone down to partake in the ceremonies on parliament hill, but I had to be in class, unfortunately. This is the most important day of the year, in my opinion.
I'd like to think that if my country ever called upon me, I'd be willing to answer, but it'd be difficult to give up this life that I enjoy. This life that was made possible and continues to be made possible by the hard-working men and women who serve in the Armed Forces.
I have always considered games and movies based on war to be a guilty pleasure, because it just doesn't seem right in some way. Games especially, lauded for their realism, have always made me a tad uncomfortable. As realistic as we might like to think of them, they are just games. In real life, there's no quick reload button.
From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank the Canadian men who stormed Juno Beach on D-Day, the allied forces who were involved in conflict all over Normandy, all the men and women who served in both World Wars, and the men and women who continue to take part in conflicts/peacekeeping missions ranging from Iraq to Afghanistan and all those dedicating themselves to bringing peace to Earth.
It's not about making War, it's about making Peace.

Release dates get pushed back, people complain. Release dates get brought forward, people complain. Bitch when it comes out and its shitty. Don't bitch before you've played it.
EDIT: Oh, and I love that it says camping is not an option. Yeah.

I don't know if people do it around your parts Blue, but around here people seem to enjoy hanging their bags of doggy-doo on trees in the forest, like that is somehow helping the situation.

I'm quite a bit into this game, and still haven't gotten any more action then dodging a pair of socks my wife just threw at me. - from the Broken Sword first impressions.
That's why I don't play adventure games.%)

Upgrading drivers |

I have learned that unless huge performance increases are guaranteed, to not upgrade my video drivers unless necessary (i.e. game bug fixes). Bad experiences, y'know. I'm still using the 3.7 Cats

So here's my take... |

The game's pretty fun! Graphics are sweet (naturally), and the sound is intense. The game handles pretty arcadey, but it's not over-the-top ridiculous like in Hot Pursuit 2. Sim-nuts will shirk it's lack of damage modeling and arcade-like physics, but the game is flatout fun. I found Drag Racing to be a blast (posted a best time of 25.54, that's hitting the jump). Pretty cool. I played it with a gamepad and it worked really well. I'm gonna hook up my wheel tomorrow and put it through its paces again.
