Oh,and that classical song was "Nothing Else Matters" from Metallica.

Lighten up,other games "glorify" acts worst than gangbanging. Ethnic-cleansing? Check! Infanticide? Check!
Acts of terrorism? Check!

Just treat games like entertainment they are and you should save yourself a bottle of lax for your moral constipation.

Moral issues aside,i think this game will be worth playing on the PC,no console for me,i prefer custom soundtracks & anti-aliasing.

Aye, the Monolith engine has certainly come a long way!
The game itself looks pretty interesting too, looking forward to playing this.

Incredible parity in scores, one site can give it an F,and the other give it a 9. (I assume it is 9/10,unless the reviewer is bad with fractions).

Game Revolution's review is pretty good, funny to read as well.

Oh this is fucking excellent news! I remember many sleepless nights as a teen spent over Transport Tycoon.
At first i didn't imagaine that routing buses and trains between towns could be addictive, but it is.

Absolutely one of the games i would like to see being resurrected. Nostalgia! I can't even imagine what it would be like with modern graphics..drools. Hopefully they don't a PHD(Piled Higher & Deeper) & screw up the game

Ah including a few Japanese planes is nice but what i really like would be a full blown Pacific WW2 sim, complete with carrier landings,anti-shipping,close air support and island hopping campaigns.

I really loved Aces of the Pacific and doing a sim using modern technology in a game like that would be great!

As i said before,Deadly Shadows=Deadly to the frame rate. I hope this doesn't make the game as slow as molasses as DX:IW. While u can get away turning off shadows in DX:IW,in Thief that makes it as bad as cutting off the fingers of a pianist.

The previous Thief games did not have to benefit of DirectX 9 technology, but that did not make it any less immersive,or fun. In fact i am still playing games like Thief 2 and Fallout occasionally today show that gameplay still rule over useless eye candy filler designed to substitute over gameplay. How many times can u look at pixel shaded water and casted shadows and say "wow" if the core gameplay stinks or stales rapidly?

Hopefully this game will not suffer from the dreaded "u need to upgrade your videocard to play it at 30fps" syndrome,or consolitis,as seeing it is being developed for multiple platforms. Other than these two worries i am mainly looking foward to it. I had a great time with Dr1ver & Driv2r during my Playstation days.

I am puzzled about the devs saying the focus is driving, and the on-foot part will not be too overwhelming.
Why put in the bloody guns in the 1st place then? Maybe they are trying to entice the GTA crowd over. Hope they don't screw up too much then. I rather have no on-foot combat rather than a watered down version.

Try switching off tree crown,or the tree foliage, that should speed things up quite alot although the trees will bald. And Lighting quality is another major killer, try to play around with that variable. And always use the antialiasing/aniso settings in the game options instead of forcing it thru drivers, that will be counterproductive.
Massive chain explosions usually cause stutter, regardless of machine spec, due to the physics calculations i presume.

That's all i can think of at the moment.

Buy this game,if u even remotely enjoyed Jagged Alliance,XCom or Fallout Tactics. This game is more than a worthy predecessor to the "Kings" of the turn based genre.

Make the grenades more useful by being able to "cook off" just like the real ones. Otherwise grenades just bounce around and make people scatter, but do nothing else.
