Wait...people are still playing D3? Why?

Boredom, desperation, justification for the $60 they wasted, naive hope that things will improve, lack of dignity, etc.

For all we know, this blogger might have been the fictional creation of an American or Israeli intelligence/security agency. I wouldn't put it past them to create a sockpuppet to stir up anti-Iran sentiment.

Capcom and Konami used to be the kings of third party development. Shame to see them fall so far.

Put out a barebones e-reader for $50 or less with amazing battery life and it will sell. Any higher than that and they start competing with cheap Android tablets that do a whole lot more than run glorified PDF files.

And for your call for more socialism.. We've already had the massive shift towards a socialist society. Corporate socialism, that is. The ignorant fantasy of socialism is here. Oh it's so glorious and all of our problems are solved! Endless wars supporting a global empire, corporate bailouts, a bankrupt government, central bankers counterfitting trillions of dollars whenever they want, every industry lobbying congress for ever more 'favors', boom & bust economy, failed regulatory agencies, the list of socialist insanity here is endless. Oh socialism, you are my dream come true! /sarc

You've just described terminal end stage Capitalism.

Nintendo launched Wii U without a killer app. The closest thing they have to a system seller is that rushed copy-and-paste New Super Mario Bros. game that plays itself while you hold the controller. It feels like they launched a year before they were ready just so they could get a headstart on Sony and Microsoft.

Just because the game broke you before you could finish it doesn't mean it's inherently unfair.

The Black Knight weapons are pretty to look at, but there are normal weapons that serve the same purpose. I beat the game using a Zweihander and you can get that an hour into the game if you figure out how to fight skeletons. You can farm Black Knight weapons before the last boss if you want, but it's not worth it unless you need to have everything.

The only thing that bothered me about Dark Souls was the inability to reset your stats and the lack of information about what stats do. Everything else about the game was fine and I still managed to beat it without looking at a wiki or FAQ.

Dark Souls was hard for a few hours.

Then you realize you can dodge every attack, and the game becomes stupidly easy.

You don't even need to dodge or parry anything. I beat the game by equipping the best shield possible and blocking everything. I rarely had to fight a boss more than once or twice (the first and second-to-last bosses were the hardest).

A new team is making the sequel and they're already talking about how they're going to dumb the game down.

Q2 was ok, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the original.
They totally screwed up the rocket launcher in Q2 and the sound was much weaker overall.

A wise developer once said "No one will remember if the game is late, only if itís great.", and then promptly threw that wisdom out the window and released Diablo 3 at least a year too early.
A year too early and ten years too late.

Call of Duty is a failure because it's too successful and discourages people from buying their competitors games.

Free multiplayer is a mistake even though it's a major selling point that keeps people playing long enough to buy the endless stream of map packs and DLC.

Black is white, slavery is freedom, etc.

The ability to replace only the CPU or MB on failure of one or the other is a cost savings consideration as well.

Whenever I have a CPU or motherboard fail on me (twice in 20 years), I upgrade both parts. Legacy hardware tends to hold its value so it's rarely worth buying something that isn't in production anymore.

This wouldn't be such a bad idea if Intel licensed the tech to other manufacturers like NVIDIA and ATI do with their GPUs. This would keep the motherboard manufacturers in business and ensure competitive pricing.

halo 1 multiplayer was quite a phenomenon for its time.

Halo 1 wasn't playable on Xbox Live, though. Live was around for two years before you could play a Halo game on it and it was already well established by then.
