| I'm hoping this is going to ROCK n' Frag! I still play UT99. And looking at UT3 from time to time. I play both. We need more people playing on the UT3 side. Hope this gives us a chance to bring the community back. |

Quake LIVE, will be a re-freshed QUAKE III, Arena. Just what we want. It will play on most PC's. Be retro-upgraded in looks and possibly AI and internet happier. This is what Unreal Tournament should do as well. Re-release UT99 and up the graphics and spin in out again. People would just freak and play it again. QUAKE LIVE will be a BIG HIT.
When is it going to be released?

The real reason that the UT3 drop is occuring is that we need PATCH 2. It's been a difficult start with a number of the current issues. If you want to play on a server with new maps...you get errors, UT3 errors on URL's/files not found/etc. When PATCH 2 is released, we be much better I hope. I'm a UT99 old-timer. I'll wait this out for the PATCH 2, but most new UT3 users will NOT. Poor release with bugs included. FRAG ON.

Unreal Tournament III should be close to the UT99 play. I am hoping that this is TRUE. If so, they will win BIG in the PC gaming arena again! Mine is on order.

Great game. Still play it today. Sniper is the best. CTF/TDM. ALL GOOD FUN, still today !
UT still rocks. Better than Quake too.

I would agree you needed to get a release from this guy. You might be paying and paying and paying to get lose from him. END IT NOW.

If you re-read your link yourself you will notice Digital Extremes mentioned. They DID have a BIG part in ALL the UT's to date. EPIC infact partnered with DE and also EPIC organized the marketing of the game. I am in Toronto and have talked to the guys at DE. I met them at FragFest in Toronto two years ago. They also had a very big part in 2003/4. They did the modelling and dynamics for all the UT's. EPIC handled maps/marketing/and mmost coding gameplay for the PS2/XBOXs.

This game is from Digital Extremes. The guys who did Unrealtournament 99, 2003, 2004! I understand it will be closer to the first ut99 play. Which I preferred.
