heh. Oblivion. The only current game that needs its own custom drivers for your video hardware. I know it is old, but my geforce 5900 has been fine for me until now. The only regular crash I get is when I exit the game. The framerate in the dungeons isnt bad, but outside or with multiple opponets, it just tanks. Guess its time to upgrade my hardware.

What the Oblivion mod scene really needs is a clearing house type of site like NWVault was for NWN with its Hall of Fame. This was really cool and made it very easy to find well-done mods quickly. Morrowind had Morrowindfiles, but I don't think it was nearly as good. If Morrowind had had a site like NWVault, I believe the game would have produced more modification activity.

Actually, Harry Turtledove has written a series of novels about an alternate history wherein that is exactly what Utah attempts to do, secede from the union. Their rebellion is put down quite brutally in the books.

"Hundreds of thousands of dollars"?
That sounds like a bit of an exaggeration to me. What the hell would a teenager do with hundreds of thousands of dollars? Buy a house?

Yes, it is nice to see that not all these corporate property holders are so legally aggressive towards their fanbase.

Real Life Adapts Marvel Comic's Rogue |

Talk about life imitating art. I guess that it is true that comic books have attained the status of art, or we're going to have to amend the saying to include that life imitates comic books as well. That tragic story of the young couple's kiss of death is just like Marvel's Rogue, but for the sexes being reversed.

It is kinda funny to see this legislation stemming from Germany as their game releases are so cleaned up as it is. I spent a couple of weeks at Activision playtesting the German gamecube version of True Crime 2 and you'd be amazed out how much work they put people through, going through every single texture in the game to eliminate any blood whatsoever. Even if it is just a patch of blood on the pants of a corpse, it has to be submitted to the database to be removed. Looking over at someone else's monitor, who is playing a non-German version of the game, it is a totally different playing experience.

I would think that if the original publisher, in this case Activision, is handing the title off to another publisher, that would be a pretty clear indication that they do not expect it to sell well.
