Yeah, Dogmeat lasted about 30 seconds with me. But once I rescued the super mutant, I just followed him around and let him gattling laser everyone. They really do need to work on balance issues.

lol. It runs bad on my computer too, but mine is an old P4 with a 7800 video card, so I'm glad I didn't put all the effort that you did into trying to get it to perform better. Actually, the game play parts arn't too bad, but I have a sound looping problem in the videos and cutscenes that causes the sound to loop a few times and then drop out.

Zero Punctuation really isn't a review, it's entertainment. I think the only two games he's ever said anything positive about were Portal and Saints Row 2.

The problem with artists is that they want people to see their work. This leads to their being easily exploited by business types.

I think this election was more about voting against continuing the Bush administration, rather than voting for Obama. I doubt his honeymoon with the media will last very long.

It's nice to see someone involved with a big organization that has a sense of humor.

More important than you liking her, more important than you loving her, more important than anything like that -- you just can't hate her. So there was a lot of design that we had to do to just make sure that you didn't hate her. And sometimes that was reducing or eliminating her autonomy to ensure that it's always the player who's in the lead, who's always in control and Elika's there as sort of a support mechanism."

lol. Just like real life relationships.

@ WisconsinHoudini : Thank you for the polite answer to my question.

Oh well. Maybe DC Universe Online will include a mission architect feature...

Does anyone know if you can play this game offline? I'd like to use the mission architect to adapt Marvel story arcs and I know that they don't want Marvel or DC characters on the online version of the game.

There are so few PC games these days I'm surprised they even care about this issue. It seems to me this is like doing something after the horse has already left the barn.

News Comments > Spore to Feature an Ending
2. re: ending Jul 17, 2008, 10:30 Bill Borre

My predication for the ending will be that it simply restarts the cycle of life development in the universe beginning a new game. This kind of idea has been done to death in dozens of scifi stories.

I don't know how things work in Japan, or wherever this is from, but if I were her, I'd be looking for a lawyer pretty damn quick.

I think the mindset of the people who make these comments is very interesting. They are basically saying "There's a whole bunch of criminals out there that are going to turn into a profitable market once we implement our solution X." I think the Sins of a Solar Empire Devs have a much more realistic view of the situation when they say "Pirates are irrelevant. The free riders aren't going to pay for the product regardless."

Finally! Truth in video game advertising.
