Hear, Hear! While things can always be worse, 2010 won't have to show much improvement to be a better year than 2009.

The patch has made things worse. I can't even get to the loading screen now.

I would like to see you post them on the youtube channel, because sometimes I might miss something here that I might check out on the youtube channel. I tend to browse youtube when I'm bored.

Anyone have a problem getting the trial to run? The last time they offered the trial I sat through a 16 gig download, hear the drum sound that indicated the patching was complete, then...nothing. The game would not start. My specs are above min.

I think DAO is the best PC game I've played this year. Maybe even the last two or three.

5. Re: Saboteur ATI Fix Inbound Dec 11, 2009, 18:31 Bill Borre

I hope they fix the freeze at the loading screen. It's kind of a strange bug because it looks like it's working fine with the color coming into the picture as the angles move across the screen and then it just...stops.

News Comments > The Saboteur ATI Problems
12. Re: The Saboteur ATI Problems Dec 9, 2009, 19:34 Bill Borre

Strange. I have XP and an Nvidia card but I've got the "games freezes at the loading screen" bug and the proposed workaround they suggested for the ATI issues sounds somewhat like advice I read on the internet for the freeze bug to open task manager and make saboteur.exe high priority, but it didn't work. I guess there's not much hope for a patch for this one, huh?

16. Re: On the MW2 Airport Massacre Nov 20, 2009, 12:02 Bill Borre

I wonder if I'm the only person who didn't shoot anybody? Before the game came out, someone posted here that maybe it's possible to run through the level and not kill anyone. So I thought I'd try it, and sure enough, I just followed the terrorists and never fired a shot. I thought that was why they shot me in the head at the end because I wasn't pulling my weight.

1. Re: Digital Pricing Can Go Up and Down Nov 18, 2009, 21:15 Bill Borre

I think that would work best if there is something going on which raises the attention level on the game. For example, if Dragon Age is selling at a certain percentage of its initial price a few months from now, and they release a DLC module.

"How do you expect people to actually join the military if when they leave the military they can't integrate back into the free market they're supposed to be protecting?"

Because the organization attracts the type of individuals who like to kill people and break things?

I'm sure publishers would rather have sales numbers than download numbers, but if their game is number one on the torrent list, I'm assuming the game's sales numbers are good as well.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. It certainly is an efficient way to get your product in front of people. The shareware distribution model died out so long ago, but you would think that for indie developers without millions of dollars to spend on advertising budgets the torrents would resurrect it.
