Take it easy, not everyone is a MUST BE REALISTIC or bust attitude.

I personally dispise realism based game, I play games to see stuff that can't be done in today's world.

Different tastes for everyone.

24. EvilGoof if you read the comics Nov 14, 2003, 07:35 Blashy

You would know that if they followed the story as in the comics, the storyline WILL be deeper than any other FPS.

I've read the whole series (13 comics) and the storyline is just incredible, it would make one of the best "who done it" "suspense" "action" scripts for any movie.

BTW, I'm no fanboy, I had high hopes for this game but the MP was just so awfull (the whole feel of it) that I'll seriously wait and see what the customer feedback is.

No MP for PC? Haha, most definitely NOT purchasing this game now.

Thanks for helping me make up my mind so quickly Lucasarts.

15. Keyboard / mouse support? Nov 3, 2003, 16:09 Blashy

If they don't have this, I'm not buying it. Why? I'm a FPS fan and nothing beats a kb/mouse for speed of reaction.

My HALO experience on XBOX was a complete bust because of that damn controller never moving fast enough, always a second behind my reaction time.

And put kb/mouse support, same goes for Sony and Nintendo.

I'll never buy a console until they make them kb/mouse supported. There is no way I am playing a FPS with a controller EVER again.

POS controller spoiled my HALO experience completly.

To bad this game is still coming out AFTER HL2, that is going to be a killer for its sales.

I was looking forward to this game, but my budget is one game. HL2 thank you.

I like when things are simple.

FPS and flight games are getting more and more intricate in terms of controls.

It is nice to have variety to catter to all tastes. In my case, simple controls (a few keys) and all out action.

I think they forget that only 10-20% of househoulds in the world have high speed and not all of them play games.

How many non-broadband users have bought a PS2, XBOX or GC...

6. Re: But will it sell Jun 12, 2003, 23:50 Blashy

Players want realism?

Not ALL of us like this realism crap, I get enough of it on a daily basis.

I'm looking forward to a different style of look for game, people want to make games look more and more like real life, which is all good but it is not the only way to make a game look great.

28. Play the demo, should be enough Jun 3, 2003, 04:58 Blashy

The game does not offer much.

Graphics are are "ok". Voice acting is terrible. Weapons are simple with little variety. The cyber implants really don't add to the gameplay, you can do the whole game without using them.

Plays like a watered down version of HALO.

13. I'm enjoying it. May 17, 2003, 00:04 Blashy

I just bought it for the continuation of the Matrix and that is what I'm getting.

I'm even playing it on the easy setting, I started on hard but I just want to play it for the story line and for that it is pretty cool. Especially since you can play both characters and both have different plots in the game.

I'm happy with it, I'll sell it on ebay once I'm done and I will get my moneys worth IMHO.

This will be the MMOG that I'm willing to pay to play.

So far none (not even SWG and Planetside, in both beta) have a chance of getting my $$$.

It also caters to average twitch skill players.

The make the movement slow and huge recoils so skilled players don't jump / straf all over and aim for quick headshots. In PS it's virtually impossible.

So the idea of a skilled player in light armor winning vs. a player in heavier armor of average skill is not a common thing.

It is much more team oriented I guess.

Getting back to fighting takes easily over a minute each time, not my idea of continuous fast paced action.

As well, having to use the whole keyboard AND more to get a complete experience is NOT what I call a FPS.

My 2cents.

6. Re: The patch that ate Tokyo Apr 10, 2003, 12:20 Blashy

The bad release might unfortunatly have killed this game.

The patched version is what SHOULD have been released.

It is unfortunate for Digitalo, seeing at how hard game devs work on their products. But someone made an error somewhere to have such a buggy product ship.

The MP is enjoyable. Now if only more servers can pop-up .

Well it gets different from other games for me.

Enemies just keep coming until you destroy their spawn points. Makes it a different scenario from other games.

AND you have to defend your own with some of your teamates.

Well I can tell from someone who has the retail that the demo really does not show how fun the gameplay of this game is.

15. Weapon sounds are being redone Mar 22, 2003, 20:31 Blashy

QUOTED from Devastation forum:

The majority has spoken. Apparently this was a legitimate enough gripe and we will comply like the good developers we are trying to be. Most of the weapon sounds will be given an overhaul, with more bass, and pitch adjustments. I cannot promise anything but these changes should be in the full patch.

Thanks again for all the feedback and support. Keep it comin!
