Both of those equate to who's leading, at the given moment. When you're desperate, you're a lot more open to suggestions to getting back on top.

Which is a huge win for the consumer. Sony also just added DLNA support which should have been there since day one for both consoles. Not sure wtf they were thinking.

So... Playstation's reaction to BC is "Well, they went their way and we went ours. They have a feature we don't and that lets consumers choose."

Uh..

Not the best spin, dude.

"If you're backwards compatible, you're really backwards!"

I wonder if there were any "features" that Microsoft didn't do a 180 on since they've launched the One.
Regardless at least they do a 180 and give customers what they want vs Sony, who seem to be doing the #dealwithit this time around.

Ok. So what do you actually DO in this game?

Indeed. I'm tired of seeing the same 5 minutes retread. Show us some uninterrupted gameplay of what people will actually be doing.
I am thinking there isn't much to do other than fly around, pew pew here pew pew there and oh look a different looking planet! Yeey!

Also, they showed split screen coop. Man, I hope that comes to PC and not just the console versions. Me an' th' boy would have a blast with that.
Be sure to look into that before you assume, it has split screen.
I ended up getting Plants vs Zombies garden warfare on the xbox so I can play local coop with my kids because the PC version doesn't have that.

I think they are still selling well on the consoles.

Yeah same with Origin keys, from GMG.
They were advertising BF4 promos left right and center before BF4 came out on Twitter and when I've clicked on the link it just took me to the main page.
Switched the region in my browser to EU and sure enough all kinds of deals were available but nothing to NA.
Sent them an e-mail and they said it is not up to them but the publisher and they can not offer the same deals to all the regions, so the EU publisher may decide to give a 30% discount on a game but it doesn't necessarily means you get the same discount on the NA version as well.
The Steam gifting restriction thing has been around for a while, but I didn't think it was fully implemented yet. My understanding was that some games were restricted while others weren't.

They also blocked cross region trading and gifting on all game listings for Anno 2205
I though that was a Steam thing. Didn't they start region locking games a while back?

Steam itself? Only for Russia...

But Anno 2205 actually seems to be fully region locked (for trading/gifting). You can still trade/gift inside your region, but not with other regions.

Actually I do wonder if that means a key bought from Mexico wouldn't actually work for me in Germany? SteamDB doesn't explain that flag.
I am pretty sure when I was buying keys from GMG or other places I have to get NA or International versions of the games.
From GMG specifically I can not buy EU keys because they would not work with Steam.
It's been like that for a while now.
Here is a recent article about that: click me

Thanks, they must have put it up today. I was checking Steam last night and it wasn't there.

Yeah, they actually put it up about 15 hours ago ;p

Also 60 ..

(Dunno what your definition of today is.. in GMT it was about 2AM so.. today ,p)
Checked last night around 7PM ET didn't see it.
As far as price yeah, its a bit steep. I'll wait for a lower price from GMG or something. Comes up as $70CDN which is too much for a PC game.

This trailer looks pretty cool. The other MP one from yesterday looked rather underwhelming. It was like BF4 with Star Wars skin on it.
I actually found the other trailer to be much better. This one has them fighting insane odds and coming out untouched. The other is obviously more of a battle but is better paced and has more exciting elements.

Looks fun! Then again, I liked BF3/4
I think this one looks more impressive graphically.
This is obviously a horde type coop mode so the point is to fight against insane odds, just like Killing Floor, or Mass Effect MP.
I just liked this trailer better than the other one.

In true Ubisoft fashion, the graphics got downgraded again by roughly 40000%.

Might still be cool, though.
I really wish they would stop doing this along with the announce and show off games years before they come out.
I am really hoping this will still be cool.
Speaking of cool I am looking forward to the new Anno game, hope they will put it on Steam, not just Uplay.

Yeah not a lot of players online, last I've checked even Blops2 was more popular online.
Too bad because I don't mind the online gameplay of AW, but I guess most people didn't like it.
Not to mention CoD is not very popular on the PC anymore, Moba, Dota and CS is all the rage these days

Would be nice to know how many was PC version and how many of that were free copies with video cards.

SteamSpy shows about 570k owners on Steam and the video card copies were GOG-only. Given that Steam is by far the largest distributor of PC games, I'd estimate total PC sales (including bundled copies) are probably around 600k-700k.
I thought the combined number would have been more.
Every key seller place were selling GOG copies not Steam, and just about every place except Steam had the game on sale before release.
Still a respectable number.

1 mil? SteamSpy shows about 160k owners on Steam. If the game requires Steam, that means the vast majority of sales were on consoles.
They were on consoles it seems.
160k on the PC seems about right, looking at the Steam statistic page of current players
